What a performance by Bridges on Christmas Day! He was great, but I have to show love for Josh Hart. That cat does all the little things that don't show up in the box score, but they help you win. Knicks are 20-10, third in the conference. If Leon Rose can somehow get another rim protector, we will be sitting pretty come playoff time.Comment

This is how the NBA can 'bring back interest.' Stop relying on Steph, LeBron and KD to prop up the ratings, while not pushing Ant-Man, Wemby, Luka, Nikola, Giannis (travesty that he didn't play yesterday), plus Knicks and Celtics more.
I get that they aren't clairvoyant, so lack of 'flexibility' in scheduling can hurt them. Still, they have all the data, market research, etc to get desirable match ups on national TV.
(Plus, ratings are a league and perception issue/problem not a fan one. Just give me compelling match ups and start 'creating' those next rivalries.)

Yep. The only things I will add is to bring back the Christmas Day uniforms, to give the games a more meaningful look. And to simply implore the players to give a damn.
If you’re hurt, don’t play. But don’t load manage on back to backs. Give the fans in attendance a few quarters of play.
We don’t need all this crap for the all star game, either. Go back to east/west. I’d even lower the number of participants to make it even more special to make it. But If you show up then you are expected to play and give a real effort. It’s not like the past all star games were played like the finals, but damn, dudes weren’t literally standing around while guys lolly-gagged to the basket. It’s embarrassing. I’d rather watch Kris Middleton give full effort over Dame Lillard just being there.
I think the dunk contest has run its course but I would only schedule it if you have an all star participating. If not do something like a reverse skill challenge. Have the all star centers shoot in a 3 point contest or do dribble dills. Have the guards do a low post challenge where they have to post up to score on another guard. I’d watch that. I’ll never forget watching Inside Edition or something back in the early 2000s and seeing Semaki Walker knocking down mid range shots in practice like it was nothing.
I saw Kevin Durant’s recent comments about fans only caring about the playoffs and not the regular season. Nah man, it’s the players over the past decade who have treated the regular season and fans like it was nothing to them. Demanding trades left and right. I remember AD colluding with Rich Paul and sitting out games to get to the Lakers. The whole KD-Kyrie-Harden Nets chapter was a joke. This is on the players for diminishing the product, not the fans.
