Re: POLL: Who's going to get the 8th spot in the east?
At first I thought it was gonna be LA simply b/c I know Kobe wants more than anything to prove that he can carry a team by himself into the playoffs like T-mac, AI, PP, etc. have and I figured Kobe's determination alone would get them there. Then I saw their schedule for April....
Sat 2 @ San Antonio
Sun 3 @ Memphis
Tue 5 @ Phoenix
Thu 7 Houston
Fri 8 @ Seattle
Sun 10 @ Sacramento
Mon 11 Phoenix
Fri 15 Sacramento
Sun 17 Dallas
Mon 18 @ Golden State
Wed 20 @ Portland
That is rediculous! From the 2nd to the 20th they have a VERY tough stretch of games! Every team there is simply better than them statistically. thats NINE games, eight of wich are against squads that are playing above .600 ball (and the other one is no cake walk against memphis), and five of which are on the road. The Lakers have had a relatively easy schedule so far and are only tied with the Nuggets for #8. If they want to take that 8 spot I think they need to win this month while their schedule is still soft (in their next nine games they only play 2 teams w/ better records than them, miami and seattle). because starting in April they are gonna be tested for real, and get zero breaks.Comment

I think KG will pull it out even though they have had a horrendous season.Comment

This is how I project the west playoffs will be:
1. San Antonio Spurs
2. Phoenix Suns
3. Seattle Sonics
4. Dallas Mavericks
5. Houston Rockets
6. Memphis Grizzlies
7. Sacramento Kings
8. Denver NuggetsComment
