Has anyone played Live 96 for PS1?

It was the first basketball game to come out on the playstation.
Back when they had those big clunky cases.
Damn did that game suck ***.
I mean the graphics were horrible, it was only like 5 diffrent player models. The players looked like they slid up the floor,
The layup and dunk animations were just plain bootie.
The court looked like they over waxed it.
Dull colors everywhere, Team jerseys looked like Crap.
And they had the bootleg jordan called player #89, light skinned with a short afro.
I'm not gone lie but I use to rock te stuffing out of that game.
Just cause it was'nt anything else out.
Does anyone have bad memories about that game?
    If so, holla back.

C'mon you know you were hyped for this game when it came out. I remember the fake Jordan, the fake Magic, the fact that the models weren't polygons yet. Also, one section of the stadium (I believe behind one of the baskets) there were no seats put in. I played the game to death myself, because just like the first Gameday, the first Madden, the first
Shootout, the graphics were cool for that time. Who could forget the slo mo dunks?

Lakers vs.Celtics wasn't a simulation either. After every foul, you went to the foul line. They didn't even switch baskets after the half. But they did have the halftime highlights from other games. All these years later, people still complain. I know it's about what people prefer, and that's cool, but people act like Live was once this big time simulation. News flash IT'S NOT, IT NEVER WAS.

Was Live '96 the one with the floating backboard? I remember one of those early Lives had no support for the backboard, i guess so the user could see the court better.

The early Lives did have the floating backboard because back then you wouldn't have seen that side of the court. All the Genesis/Super Nintendo ones had it Live 95 - 98.

I remember that game too. I believe it was the one with Tim Hardaway on the cover. That game had real nice gameplay.
