Is Chris Webber a definit HOFer?

I was discussing this with my girlfriend (who is a huge UM and King fan so theres definitley a bias) earlier to day and we both came to the conclusion that yes Cwebb is going to eventually be enshrined in Springfield. For his career he averages about 21 ppg 11 rpg and almost 5 apg so im curious whether or not everyone sees him as a great player who is HOF calibre or if they see him as the guy with the stigma of always screwing up when it matters most (IE: his infamous timeout call against UNC in 93) or as Skip Brainless says a "Guy with loser intangibles".
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Good Player. Had some great seasons but not a Hall of Famer in my opinion.

This is without looking at stats but I've never felt like he was a Hall-of Famer.

      I think he's a HOF'er. His stats are great.

And Skip Bayless, I swear...he knows nothing. Skip Brainless is correct. "Guy with loser intangibles"? Everywhere Webber goes, the team is in the playoffs. He even got Washington in the playoffs. WASHINGTON.

I don't know to be honest... I like Chris Webber.. but his name right now doesn't have a HOF ring to it just yet.

He had a couple of opportunities.. to really have an impact in the playoffs against the Lakers.

I believe he needs to come up big in the playoffs one of these days... just my opinion though.

He didn't do it alone!! Juwan Howard , Rod Strickland, and George Muresan helped as well..

            Definite? NOPE....

            Potential? Maybe...

Think about it, Dominique Wilkens and Joe Dumars both just got passed over on their first year. Has Webber done more in or for basketball than either of these guys? I personally don't think so (and I'm a Michigan guy).

A DEFINITE HOFer should be first ballot... I don't think Webber is one.

Excellent point Clay. Not just those guys but Bernard King and Adrian Dantley as well. I don't think he's a lock for the HOF.

Not now, but I'm cheerin for the guy. Watching that game last night, he just seems so timid to me. He's playin like he's just waitin for the boos. I love the way AI tries to keep his spirits up just so he knows he has the support from the locker room. Hopefully he recovers completely and makes a significant impact in the playoffs if Philly can stay in.

You could be a definite HOFer and not be 1st ballot. Reggie Miller for example is a definite HOFer but i doubt he'll get in 1st ballot if Dominique didnt

God forbid there are other players on a team Nobody does anything alone, but he was the star of those teams, right? Right.

                        Lame.

But anyways, It's about 50/50 with regards to C-web going to the hall. It all depends on how strong he finishes his career.

                          Gotta agree with this sentiment.

I don't think Webb is a HOFer. He just hasn't done much in his career other than put up good numbers. Granted he has helped his teams win, but to me, he's never had enough to push teams over the top. I think if he does end up with a ring, it will be as a role player (if his ego lets him do that) and then it might be a stronger possibility.

I guess this arguement could be made about KG also. Their career numbers are very close.

I think what makes me dislike Webber more tho is his attitude. It just paints a bad picture of him. He's always whining or crying or something. Not that the HOF takes that into consideration. Or do they?
