    Fine Tuning the Sliders

    Ok Guys....

I have decided to tune my own personal sliders. I have most of them the way i want them except the set of sliders that deal with the A.I. AI Close Shot Tendency
AI Medium Tendency and the 3 PT Shot Tendency. My second game of the season at halftime I am down by one point. Looking at the stats the cpu is going inside way too much. Mostly to Rasheed Wallace. The cpu has 35 points and 28 are in the paint. The set of AI sliders (that i mentoined before) are still at default. I need some suggestions!!!
    Almost forgot the Dunk/Layup tendency
    Thanks

I wouldnt say they were going inside too much. Wallace is their money guy, seems like they are just riding the superstar.

      Re: Fine Tuning the Sliders

Something that I've noticed more than tweeking the AI Sliders is that with Offensive Awareness all the way to the right, it affects the CPU. I was burnt by Alvin Williams for like 40 pts, 20 assists (imagine that) and last nite Jason Kid for 40 pts, 19 assists. The CPU shoots at an amazingly high percentage with offensive awareness full. I shoot a pretty "real" percentage but the computer is only missing like 10 shots for the whole game. I feel like I have to score every time down the floor. When I turned the offensive awareness slider down a few notches, they miss a few(not many) more shots and I also got more blocks.

It's funny because it's different everytime I play. Last nite I was getting too many blocking calls and NO charges at all. It's a work in progress. I just started a franchise with the Wizards, I'm 0-3. I'm waiting for Sega to release the updated rosters before I get serious in Franchise Mode.

i have offense awareness maxed out and defense awareness maxed out to the right. I also have Defensive Stopping Power maxed to the right. but i am thinking if i lower AI close shot tendency slider they won't go inside as much. What do you think

i have offensive and defensive awareness all the way up. last night i was the suns and held seattle to under 50 percent on all star. payton had 24 and 8 or something. i still lost the game though. i held the cavs to under 40 percent in my second game. wagner didnt even had 20. i won that one. you just gotta play disciplined d. not trying to brag. just trying to say that it can be done.

I have no problem keeping the cpu under 50 percent with offensive awareness and defensive awareness maxed. It just a matter of playing good defense and staying in front of your man. If the cpu sees and opening he is going to take it, and if u are playing weak d and letting the cpu drive to the hole every time, they will have a high shot percentage. I also have blocking maxed out.

i dont know what to tell you about cpu points in the paint. the dont get a lot on me. my main concern is my points in the paint are too high. i try to put it out of my mind and just have fun playing. points are point whether they come from the paint or not. i just have a good time playing the game. its the first thing to take time away from ncaa 2003 football.

                    Re: Fine Tuning the Sliders

shaq, first I would try changing my personal gameplan. If their dominant player is a PF or C double team him, make sure he's got tight coverage on him and mix up your D's when playing (between man or zone is enough but you can get more creative).

That should make him pass it out more or miss more shots.

If you have to mess with a slider turn medium and 3pt tendencies up. The cpu won't pass it around as much b/c they'll take outside shots when they feel they're open (which isn't as open as they'd need to be with them on default).

Turning inside tendencies down will make them pass the ball around endlessly until they throw up something trying to beat the shot clock.
