He's gonna be a great player. Hopefully this trade will work out for both teams, unless Darius wants to come back to the Clippers when his contracts up. I'd be waiting for him to come back with open arms. Don't worry, I do live in the real world and know he's not coming back.

He's not coming back b/c he'd take a huge drop in mpg but I still wonder why they didn't keep him and Q together and move the more talented, bigger pain in the ***, Odom. Maybe they couldn't.

Anyway, he'll have a good year but don't expect him to blow up until next year. The Cavs are expecting big things from Davis too and they share a position. Miles won't do much out of position (still too skinny and his shot isn't there yet) so my guess is something like 15 points, 7 boards a game this year with lots of highlights and big games sprinkled around.

Darius is TIGHT!! I was so sad when he got traded. I think that they did try to trade Lamar in the beginning, but the Cavs wouldn't take him. Darius will be a superstar, especially in the east where there are no big men.

In the game against the Lakers, D looked like he was shooting the ball pretty nicely. Guess he worked on his shot. Good for him. I also like how he still does his head tappin. East coast tap babeee!!!

Re: D.Miles Showing what he\'s made of

Yeah, his shot is better but not enough for a break through season. If he was guaranteed 40 minutes at SF he could probably push 20 a game with a borderline FG% but that won't happen. Wagner's gonna get time at 1 and 2, Davis at 2 and 3, Miles at all 3. Remember McGrady's blow up? It was after he got a sick 3 point shot. VC came alive sooner than everyone thought b/c he had more range than people expected coming into the league. Miles doesn't have that range yet so he's still not capable of taking over like those guys even though he may have the other skills they do, minus experience and confidence.

I'm glad he's not on the Clippers though. They still need to make 2 or 3 trades before there's a comfortable rotation. Just too much comp.

good point wwharton sometimes there is too much (selfish)talent on a team and guys are more worried about fighting for minutes or shots than doing thier job or what the team needs them to do to win.

look at the old laker teams worthy jabbar magic nixon cooper etc etc great talent at every position and yet they sacrificed their personal stats for the good of the team, instead of crying about being the man. IMHO of course

Yeah. I like the Mavs a lot, but besides them look at the other Teams favored to make the most noise. The Lakers have 2 stars and role players. Spurs had 2 now one. Kings have 2 (yes Bibby is still a role player but even 3 is low). In the East the Pistons, Nets, etc. are deep in role players not stars.

The Clips have Brand, Miller, Q, Maggette and Odom all looking to be stars. Dooling, Wilcox, Ely and Kandiman with potential too. Now Wang? I'm probably leaving someone out too. Looks like Portland to me.

Miles and Wagner have big time potential+Ricky Davis is very underrated. Not sure about their post play.

Ill-gauskus is a beast if he can stay healthy. He's lost a bit of weight to take some pressure off his glass feet so maybe he can come through this year. They're division is pretty tough. It's just good that they'll be fun to watch.
