Didn't think I'd be saying this so soon....

The Clippers have finished the season with a better record than the Lakers.

Not only that the Golden State Warriors finished with the same record as the Lakers.

Maybe Kobe should've went across the arena (or is it hallway?) last off season.

Actually, the killer part about it is, the Lakers now only have half the lottery balls they normally would have, because they have to split them for being tied with GS.

No, the killer part of it is that we didn't make the playoffs. Everything else is just salt in the wound.

Huh? You dont have to split lottery balls if you have the same record as another team. A tiebreaker will determine who has more lottery balls..

Lottery balls don't get split between the teams.

A random drawing will be conducted to determine who gets the higher pick.

Seriously, I think it's just overworked seriously. I'm really not understanding why the Lakers not making the playoffs is so big of a deal. So many other teams had to rebuild and it's understandable that it was bound to happen. Yeah, shaq left, but that was so last offseason. Not to mention that within a lottery pick, you just have to see what you need and work towards filling that void. I'm sure that the Lakers will find that void filler soon. Not to mention that they were looking better than expected. Kobe was out for a significant amount of the season. Lamar was out also. Just wasn't their year. They weren't expecting to win this year.

Looking at the Clippers, how many times have they made it into the playoffs, let alone win a ring? Clippers have to step up their game with better management of their players and trading. They have a better and younger team I believe. Just expected. I do believe that the Lakers will do a little better come next season. I still like Kobe. He's alone and realizes more that he does need his team. I think that's what their happiness is. They're learning to live the team chemistry a little more. Not masters at it but they seem to be getting it better. I'm looking for a nice league next season with the Lakers pushing hard enough within this rebuilding of the franchise.
