Tell me what your favorite basketball game was B.P.
Before playstation. Before Dreamcast, before N64.
Go back to those nintendo years, those sega master system years, hell even coleco-vision years.
you can even include 16bit systems.


My favorite hands down was DOUBLE DRIBBLE.
Nothing like bustin 150 points all from corner threes.
I think that game started a revolution. The slow-mo black n white dunks was the bomb back then.

runner-up: the 2 on 2 game HOOPS,
that was the shiznit also!

All this talk off live,2k3 and ID just got me reminicing to back when it was no debates over the best BBall game.
That was all we had.
And if your interested I can show or tell you how to get an nintendo or Sega emulator so you can relive those memories on your PC. I was just playing DD or while ago, Dont tell noone, I'm at work. Shhh.

My old school b-ball game BP is a close tie between Double Dribble and Super Tecmo Nba Basketball.

Runner up: Jordan Vs. Bird for the Sega Genesis

i go as far back as Jordan V. Bird. Those one handed turn around 3 Point shots where automatic.

All you needed to win was to shoot 3s with bird all game


In hindsight i wonder how we played those games...1 v 1 all day...no special moves, nothing. But we loved them. Now we get mad because the franchise mode does not have a way to keep track of player progression...lol

dr j vs larry bird on the commadoe 64 was the shizzzzit !!!! great point tiger what the hell are we thinking if someone told us 6 years ago that we would be able to draft players from colllege games or have a franchsise mode we would have crapped our pants now we freak if the sneakers aren't authentic

Hands down I would have to say double dribble than there was another game while I was in college called Coach K(it was the best multi-player game).

The best thing I liked about Jordan Vs Bird was the Slam Dunk contest. I spent hours trying to figure out what exact spot to take off from!

Hell yea, coach K, man I use to beg my freind to trade that game with me, and he would never do it. It was just that fun.

I also like jordan v. bird, the dunk contest thing. and some of the dunks i still never could get in.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but Coach K with out a doubt. We played that game for hours on end..( I miss college)

lol no he did not say comadore 64 lol hell yeah jordan vs bird...I remember a dunk contest for that too..man you just went into the wayback machine on this thread I like it..lol i still have my c64 and my adam and my amiga..man i might make a trip into the attic when i get home today..lol wifes gonna hate me this evening..lol bringing down the dusty boxes
