NBA 2k3 has the same problem that Inside Drive 2002 had last year

Really crazy lineups. I just played a Wizards vs. Raptors game and while I was winning, by the second quarter, the lineup was Jerome Williams at PG!????, Michael Bradley or whoever the guy is at PF or Center, Vince Carter at SG, and a couple of other forwards in the remaining positions. Jerome Williams at PG is crazy. It should be Vince Carter since he was clearly the one who had the best ballhandling on the floor, but he wasn't PG, he was an SG. Inside Drive 2002 had the same problem last year, I wonder if it has it still in ID 2003. Anybody else see this kind of weird lineup?

I have seen that as well in 2K3 - I was playing against the Jazz and they had Kirilenko at the 2-guard!!

I haven't played ID 2003 yet, no XBOX plus I'm still busy with Live and 2K3...

      I had the same thing.

They kept putting in Melvin Ely to run the point for the Clippers.

      It sucked.

Don't really need to. If I see Vince Carter on the floor while every other player for the Raptors is a forward/center, HE should be the PG not his other teammates. Besides, what kind of coach would have a forward or center be a PG? I was killing the AI when they did this, and for a VERY long stretch of the game too before the AI put back their original players. If anything, you'd think that they'd keep the decent ballhandlers in the game for a much longer period of time even if they are fatigued. Or they'd put bench players who have some ballhandling skills (2nd or 3rd tier) into the game rather than have a forward or center doing the ballhandling for the team.

I've seen this in many games in the past but 2k3 actually does a much better job of subbing than any I've played before (haven't played either of the other two games out now yet). I loved playing the Mavs and seeing Nash and Van Exel on the floor together at times, Dirk at 3 and 4, Finley at 2 and 3, etc.

Your scenario isn't that crazy. Jerome played PG in HS and brought the ball up on many fast breaks at G'Town. He's pretty much a poor man's Anthony Mason (which doesn't say much for his overall talent but is true). VC is the star and pretty much only plays 2 or 3 so if there's a need to fill in at point I could see them not screwin with VC and I think it's incredible they'd pick Williams, giving his skills at that position props. Would the Raptors do this? Maybe not, but maybe. Williams can guard PGs and they may have VC bring the ball up more even though he's technically a two but the actually lineup could look lke that.

Kirelenko can play anywhere from 2 to 4. These aren't that bad. Now if you see Shawn Bradley comin in at the point that's a little different, and that's what I remember seeing in the past.
