Is the CPU easy to beat in ID2003?
For those that have tried this game, how is the CPU and do they play a good game? Most basketball games I have played once you figure out how to beat them you can pretty much beat them every game. This has been a problem with Live when I used to play and now it's like that in the 2k series. Is Inside Drive the same way?Tags: None -
Re: Is the CPU easy to beat in ID2003?
i havent experienced that.
personally, I feel ID is way too easy on Rookie. So start at the default Veteran.
Even so, the game is difficult. The AI does a great job of feeding the ball to the hot player/star player. They continue to pound and pound on you. Also, thank Microsoft for realizing that teams go through ups and downs in games. This is one game where the AI doesnt seem to cheat (ala EA Sports). YOu and the AI will suffer ups and downs throughout the game, making it challenging, frustrating, and fun all at one time (well through the course of a game, at least)"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

NBA 2k3 seems to do this now too. And they've added the injury system ID 2002 had. I'm glad they're borrowing from ID 2002 and other b-ball titles. Hopefully, they'll adapt freestyle controls. More importantly, hopefully they'll get the defense done right for once in NBA 2k4.Comment

Re: Is the CPU easy to beat in ID2003?
It's really easy on rookie, bu on Veteran it's a different story. I haven't trried All-Star yet but I'm sure that's pretty hard. I started a Franchise with the Grizzlies and have played 6 games so far, and I am 0-6. I picked up Patrick Ewing as a Free Agent and traded Jason Wiliams for Nick Van Exel. Take a look at the people I played in my first 6 games: Dalls, Detroit, Sacramento, San Antonio, Portland, and Sacramento. I would keep up with them for about 2 quarters and then they'd just go on fire. Next opponen for me is Denver and I'm hoping they're easy...Comment

On Veteran, the game is a challenge for the most part, on All Star, which is what I am going on right now, it is a killer. I won my first 4 on Veteran ( I am an ID veteran, so my ID skills were pretty good to begin with) and then I upped the difficulty to All Star, and played the Bulls and got beat by 12. It is extremely realistic. The gameplay, IMO is the best of any this year. And the commentating is hilarious.Twitter - WTF_OS
