NBRA Wants Van Gundy Fired
After Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy backed off comments that a referee told him Rockets center Yao Ming was targeted by officials in the playoffs, then apologized publicly for the comments, the NBA said Monday the matter was closed.

Re: NBRA Wants Van Gundy Fired
Meh....I'm glad Van Gundy did what he did. It does bring into question the reputations of these refs because most of them do need to be investigated. I'm one of the few who actually thinks that refs dictate the momentum of the game and that momentun can create a loss for a team. I cant even come up with a number that states the many of times I've seen the refs singlehandedly give a team the game. That number would be staggering.
Superstar calls, rookies not getting vet calls, vets getting away with murder sometimes and the singling out of certain players....I've noticed it all and its really getting out of hand. Why do you think players bitch at the most opportune times? Its because some players can weigh in and change the way the ref calls the game. I think thats BS, if they cant call it fair, then they should let them play it out.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group) -

I agree with Graphik and I think a lot of you just simply ignore us who think the Refs have dictated games. I honestly think the NBA refs are the worst refs I've ever seen in all of sports.
It's sickening watching nba games now and seeing shaq get away with 50 travels a game, and seeing no-calls turning into a call every possession for certain players.
back to the point of the post, Van Gundy should NOT be fired...I don't think the refs know what they are talking about. They seriously need to be evaluated.Comment
