Chicago Bulls Return To Glory 2006-2007

Since the previous was closed, might as well get started. Drop them here and enjoy another great season for them boys in Red and Black.

I'm really hoping the Bulls take LaMarcus with the 2nd pick. He could be pretty good if he gets stronger mentally, which is what I feel was the reason he stunk at the end of the NCAA tourney.

If anyone can make someone mentally stronger, it is Scott Skiles.

You should be mentally strong BEFORE you get to the NBA. It isn't up to a coach on the NBA level to do that. That's why I want either Brandon Roy or Tyrus Thomas.

Why would you use the #2 pick on another SG to add to that log-jam the Bulls have at the guard position? The Bulls do need size, but they would be better off signing a big FA guard who can come off the bench and play good defense or using their #16 pick to get a guy like Ronnie Brewer.

Also, I look at Tyrus Thomas as another, smaller version of Tyson Chandler (a good defender and very athletic, but not an offensive threat). If you want to go through another season with no low-post scoring, then TT is your guy.

LaMarcus is the best fit for the Bulls IMO because he can come in and be a low post threat much like a taller Mike Sweetney. If the Bulls can develop his inside scoring, he could be a 15-10 guy in a couple of years, maybe even better than that.

I love Brandon Roy but why take him we've got proven guards already. I would love to see the Bulls take either LaMarcus or Adam Morrison either would help the team.

LaMarcus Aldridge all the way baby!!!!!!!! He will be a good fit at the 4 spot for Chicago, an offensive scoring threat in the front court has been lacking, and he can help grab rebounds on both sides helping Chandler. I want him to be a Bull soooooo bad. If for any reason he's not there then I would say maybe Morrison. Chicago needs more scoring threats, Morrison is that. Brandon Roy would be a good player at the 2 in rotation with Gordon, but he's my 3rd choice.

I know who I DON'T want for the team more than I know who I DO want. I would be fine with Morrison, Aldridge, Roy, or even Gay, but for the love of god PLEASE don't select Tyrus Thomas.

I LOVE our draft! Tyrus Thomas will be a stud for years and so will the defensive standout(what I hear) Thabo Sefolosha. We coulda easily just drafted Thomas 2nd, but instead we picked up a very talented player in Viktor Khryapa and either cash or a 2nd rounder. I would give this draft a A to a A+. I hardly EVER like Chicago drafts(especially Bears) But this one I love. What grade do you guys give this draft, and who do you think we will go after to become elite in the east?

WHY WHY WHY??????? They had the right player in Aldridge who is good on both ends of the court, and trade his rights for Thomas who looks like a shorter version of Chandler. This foreign guy might be alright but who knows. I think they will regret trading Aldridge.

Tyrus fits into Skiles' defensive mindset.

I don't particularly like the pick as I would rather have LaMarcus, but Pax has never made a bad pick. I trust him 100% and the team is looking good for next year!

Very true. I'm not a fan or Thomas either but hell, we got enough scorers already.

I'm not a Bulls fan, I'm a Laker, but what ownership has done with this team seems to be simply amazing. If they can resign Gordon and Deng next year, and can take care of any future signings, this team will be a championship team through 2016. It's nice to see nice management in the NBA. It's a breath of fresh air really, I mean, we have Isaiah Thomas STILL running a team. Anyway, I see a very bright future for this Bulls team and as much as I hate to say it, they may knock us Lakers off the top when we rise from the ashes. Trust me, it will happen.

At first I wasn't a Tyrus Thomas fan BUT I didn't like Aldridge either. However, after watching the draft and re-thinking I think we came out on top with the Thomas-Aldridge trade. What bothered me about Aldridge is his toughness. Thomas may not be as polished offensively as Aldridge BUT he's much better defensively than Aldridge.

I personally would have liked the Bulls to keep Rodney Carney. Carney would have been the perfect fit for the Bulls. As far as a player running in the open court I haven't seen a guy dazzle like that since Dr. J. NOW PLEASE RE-READ THAT LAST SENTENCE because people would mis-interpret that sentence as me comparing Carney to Julius Erving as a player. That's not what I'm saying. Just in the open court.

I'm jumping on the "Return To Glory" bandwagon. This team is pretty much set for a while with a young core. Now if Tyson can hit the weights and become a presence in the post, we'll really have something.
