2006-07 Golden State Warriors: We Got Suck

Let's hope that this year can finally be the year we can erase that tag off our name. Things have been looking good so far, and as crazy as the team looks (Dunleavy at PF, ), we may be able to win 10 more and get a spot into the playoffs with the run and gun offense.

We got the Lakers tonight, which is a game we have to win considering it's their back to back night, they don't have Kobe or Phil, and it's our home opener.

The Clippers did it last year, so hopefully we can too. I feel good about this team (although they do this to me every year). One thing is for sure, it will be interesting.

So it's going to be Bdiddy JRich Pietrus Dunleavy and Murphy with Diogu as our 6th. Kind of think that Pietrus is better off being our spark off the bench and sixth man and Diogu starting, but we'll see how it goes. This team looks to be like the old Mavs.. up and down with limited interior defense, should be fun at the very least.

Like last year, this season relies on Baron Davis. If he can play healthy throughout the year and can give us 70 solid games, we're likely to make playoffs. Monta Ellis can cover the games he doesn't play, but lets hope Monta will be coming off the bench all year. It'll work to our benefit.

At least, unlike last year, we actually have a great coach. I really think the run and gun will work nicely this season.

Well, Hoopshype has our lineup as Davis, JRich, Dunleavy, Diogu, and Murphy, but I don't think that's the way Nelly will go with it. Not to start the season, anyways.

The Warriors may be the worst half court team in the league.. good lord. It's all 1-on-1 iso bullcrap. No movement... nothing. Murphy set the tone early on how he missed every easy basket, including one that he was right in front of the rim... with noone near him. I really don't even want to talk about FT's.. for either team, I swear I can shoot them better blindfolded. Hopefully this is just a case of nerves and play better against Portland

Nelly hinted on the radio that Mike Dunleavy is not the answer at the 4, due to his limited rebounding ability. He said he might move Mike to the point, sliding B.D. down to the two spot.

So.. what was the point of Foyle starting? Start Diogu already, Pietrus brilliant off the bench. Jrich has limited movement and hinders his game. Monta Ellis reminds me of Tony Parker.. can get to the hoop anytime he wants

Disastrous game against the Jazz last night... I swear, we will never beat these guys in Utah. Dunleavy and Murphy are absolutely lost out there, and Davis is shooting horrible (as usual). JRich is also obviously not in game shape. They better get things together, fast. Only real bright spot last night was Diogu.

Looking like it so far. He got the start last night (due to JRich's injury) and dropped another 21 points. He's averaging over 15 so far, and getting great minutes. I think these last two games against the Hornets solidified a continuation of heavy minutes.

Richardson's starting tonight against the Pistons after sitting out the last one. Questionable call, but we're off to a decent start. Billups is looking cold.

We're up 42-18 in the 2nd! This is the best Warriors basketball I've seen in over a decade.

This is frikin owsome! my only complaint is that FSN move FSN+ back down to a channel that you don't need directv or digital cable to see. But its nice to see real pro basketball played in the Bay Area again.

Blew out the Pistons. Huge win, boosted us to 4-3, and makes us 2-0 for the first two games of our huge homestand.

This is the best Warriors team in years. Biedrins is the reason we have a shot for the postseason, and is the answer to something we've lacked for a decade -- a strong big man who can rebound, block, and put up 10+ a game.
