    2009-2010 Washington Bullets (he's back)

ok i know were not the bullets anymore. but lets go wizards!

we start off the season 1-0 and arenas starts off the season great with 29 points and 9 assist shooting almost 50% from the floor.

we should be a playoff team if we can stay healthy. we have a lot of depth on this squad with the addition of foye and miller. and it looks like andray blatche might have finally grown up.

    Bullets Current Record: 1-0

next game @ Atlanta Hawks, friday night.
should be a tough game. the hawks are a good team.

well its been 2 wizards games since i last posted in this thread.

we went 1-1 in the last 2 games and are now 2-1 on the season.

friday night we played the atlanta hawks in atlanta. it was just an overall ugly game. we started the game off great with a 14-4 lead but the hawks came back and took the lead at the end of the first and never looked back. The stats were even but the hawks attempted 34 free throws and made 31 of them. that was the difference. the wizards had very little energy in this game. the hawks are a very athletic team and it showed. arenas had a bad game with 7 turnovers. we had a chance in the 4th but just didnt have enough fire power.

the worst thing about the game was that we lost caron butler to injury. he has a knee bruise and is expected to be back by tuesday.

final score atlanta 100 washington 89.

Today we played the nets and it was much different. With no Caron Butler or Antawn Jamison, Gilbert Arenas stepped up and had his best game of the year so far with 32 points in 29 minutes. He shot great from the field and also had 7 assist. He had is way with rafer alston, but the player of the game was andray blatche who had a career high 30 points on 15/18 shooting. This game was a blowout and we simply destroyed the nets.

final score Washington 123 New Jersey 104

next game is tuesday @ Cleveland.

Thats also the last day of the free nba league pass preview so it will be the last wizards game ill be able to watch unless its on ESPN or TNT, NBA TV, ect.

After starting 0-2 cleveland has won 2 in a row and are now 2-2. It will be a tough game but with gilbert back and hopefully butler back as well we can win. we always play the cavs close and last year 2 of our 19 wins was against the cavs. Should be a good one.

    Bullets current record 2-1

they would have had a better chance against atlanta if gil could have gotten a call or two. he was attacking the basket and getting killed with no calls going his way. it is frustrating to watch a game and easily see the refs have just decided to let **** go. still, gil should have realized that and adjusted his game accordingly. i think this can be a very good team. i like them, they are deep and i like the style they play. if blatche keeps this up and can stay consistent the league better look out. his skill set is top notch and he can dominate a game when he applies himself. high hopes for the wiz this year from me, not necessarily championship high but i think they can do some damage...

i agree 100%. the wizards are a good team this year with a lot of depth. once jamison comes back we will have a bench of foye, blatche, stevenson, oberto, and mcgee. foye and blatche so far this year are top notch, oberto and stevenson are stout defensivly, and mcgee adds tons of energy. plus i think flip saunders fits this team very well. eddie jordan was an average coach in my opinion. i think arenas will do very well in flips offense. i mean 3 games in he looks great.

as for the hawks game. you are right, gilbert didnt get a single call the entire game. the refs were definently one sided giving the hawks every single little call. problem with that game though was once gilbert got all of those turnovers in the first half he stopped being aggressive in order to reduce turnovers. a player like him needs to stay aggressive the entire game and in his interview he said letting up was a mistake.
