Interesting roster. Danny Granger is a terrific scorer. TJ Ford is lightning quick. Foster is a solid rebounder and defender. Dahntay Jones is a solid, if ornery, defender. Hibbert could have a long NBA career. This team is definitely a fun watch every night.

went to the game tonight here in Jersey, saw hansborough before the game yawning and scratching his head as if he overslept, wasnt surprised when he played lethargic. We had a lot of opportunities to put the game away, heck in the 2nd quarter we were like a shot away from going up by 20 but within 3 minutes we missed like 10 shots and let them come back right before the half.

oh well, a win is a win, I def would love to be on a 6 game roll heading into the friday night showdown with the Cavs.

We play the Knicks tomorrow night, should be 6-3.

Bad loss tonight man. so many chances to put the knicks away. Seems like this is the case with this years team. Even against the Nets, they get going, get a lead over 10 and then noone can make a shot. Hopefully they learn how to "win"

Indeed, I still have many questions for this years Pacers team. Will Granger ever learn how to use body position and anticipation to become a good defender ala Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce? Is Dahntay Jones truly this good of a scorer or are his numbers inflated by the Pacers shoot first offense? Will Mike Dunleavy ever be able to stay healthy? Could Earl Watson and TJ Ford somehow be combined into one player?

Getting punked by a team that lost 7 straight is rough man. We need to get it together. I like the team we have but there is some mental thing going on. I see them start strong night after night, then they go cold and only score like 2 points in the 3rd quarter. Its crazy.

I just don't know what it is with this team. For the last 3 seasons it seems that they always play to the level of competition -- up or down. You play with the big boys and beat the Celtics, Lakers, Heat etc. but when it comes to the games that you 'should' win, they just don't seem to get it done. So frustrating.

It seems a lot of times to me that they only have that 'killer instinct' in games that they aren't favored or versus teams in games that they're not supposed to win. It's like they think they can turn it on anytime they want. If you want to be a good team, you have to bring it every game regardless of opponent.

With that, I have seen a lot of encouraging signs, but we have to do something to stabilize the PG position. TJ Ford seems way off from the form he played at last season. It's like he wants to be a shooting guard, but he's trapped in a PG's body. I like how he can score and get to the basket, but we need some to run the offense and get the ball to the open guys. Get an assists every now and then ya know?

On a positive note, how big an acquisition has Dahntay Jones been thus far?!

Yup, I don't understand it. If they could just beat the teams they 'should' beat, we could easily be a Playoff team. It's like this team is backwards.. they can beat the best teams in the league and then lose to the worst? Doesn't make sense.

The team is tired. We have no bench production, and Dunleavy is MIA as usual. Murphy is always good for a few months on IR, and Foster, while I love him, is just not good enough now to compete. We need some of these young guys to really step it up if we want to compete, because our main guys will be exhausted in a few months.

This team is so frustrating sometimes. Not only do they consistently compete with some of the better teams in the league, the next night they'll come out and lose to some of the worst, but they also blow away big leads all the time. It's frustrating. We had a 16 point lead last night in the 3rd, and somehow lost by 19. It doesn't make any sense. That was a problem last year as well. We'll get a big lead and somehow find a way to lose. It's almost as if once the scoreboard reads "4th quarter" they fold, choke, etc. whatever you wanna say. We did it against the Nets. Had a big lead and let them get back in it. We did it against the Knicks. Had a big lead and let them come back and win the game. And we did it again last night.

We need to figure out how to close out games and play more consistent.

That 5 game winning steak seems like it was so long ago. This team has been a disaster the last couple weeks. Now, Granger will probably sit a little while with a bruised heel. It's just all gone downhill after the winning streak and I don't expect it to get much better the rest of the season unfortunately.

Also, I just don't like Jim O'Brien as the head coach. I have no clue why the Front Office extended his contract before the season. He seems to have no gameplan whatsoever on the offensive or defensive end. IMO the sooner he is gone the better but, really he's probably here for the rest of the season. I just really hope he's gone in the offseason unless things really improve the rest of this season.

Another 4th quarter meltdown last night. Lost to the Spurs by 1 point, and got outscored 30-16 in the 4th. Pathetic.

Last nights game was an embarrassment. I mean I can see losing badly to the Cavs or Lakers or something. But you lose by nearly 50 to the knicks? We are hurting. every phase of the game is an issue at this point I wouldnt even know where to start to fix this team other than release like half the team lol.
