Un-Official Fear the Deer Milwaukee Bucks Thread

If any moderator wants to make this official, be my guest.

There isn't much of a Bucks talk around here. At least we can talk it over here.

How does everyone feel about the trade for Maggette and CDR and the draft??

Looking at the Bucks' roster, they look good and I have them finishing in a high-seed playoffs spot.

Yeah most definitely, if the Celtics don't show age, and barring Lebron not coming back to the Cavaliers, I can easily see the Bucks contending for a 3rd spot in the East.
I see the top 5 baring free agents changing teams, Cavaliers, Boston, Bucks/Hawks, and Bulls.

The Bucks made great moves for their abilities.
Solid team with a lot of talent and the chemistry was already high.
I think they can suprise a lot of teams.

I like the moves that have been made so far, but losing Luke Ridnour is HUGE, because if you're into stats, you'd know how inconsistent Jennings has been and how consistent Ridnour has been.

The Bucks' roster as of right now, in my mind:

          PG: Brandon Jennings
          SG: John Salmons
          , Carlos Delfino, Darington Hobson
SF: Corey Maggette, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Chris Douglas-Roberts
PF: Drew Gooden, Ersan Ilyasova, Larry Sanders
          C: Andrew Bogut, Tiny Gallon

          Reserves: Michael Redd

Problems: Tiny Gallon would be part of a logjam at PF because he technically would play PF, moving Gooden to C. Mbah a Moute will have trouble finding playing time. Also, no backup PG.

Right now, I think the Bucks will do slightly worse than last season.

Jennings and Ridnour complemented well. When Jennings wasn't being consistent, Ridnour could come in and give us what we needed.
With them two, it pretty much gave us a choice we to use, and let us go with the guy being more consistent at the time. That's a huge lose, we do need to find a backup PG. One that is decent too. Ridnour was a huge loss. I think Maggette may be gone though next year. Mbah a Moute isn't much of a scorer but he's one of our best defenders. I can see him getting in the SF and PF rotation if we go small will a lineup on the court of: Jennings, Salmons, CDR,/Maggette, Mbah a Moute, Bogut.

Gonna be interesting, we had a great chemistry last year. Going to be interesting to see how it'll be with the new comers (Gooden, Sanders, Gallon, Hobson) even though Gooden has wanted to be in Milwaukee.

              Updated roster:

              PG: Jennings, Dooling
              SG: Salmons, Delfino
SF: Maggette, Mbah a Moute, Douglas-Roberts
              PF: Gooden, Sanders, Brockman, Ilyasova
              C: Bogut

Reserves: Redd, Gallon, Hobson, possibly someone out of Summer League (Dominic James, Jerry Smith, Sun Yue, Deron Washington, Sean Williams... I don't know who's under contract).

              Dooling and Brockman story

Man, Bogut is an island. The Bucks should try to get Kurt Thomas back, or some other big body who isn't named Tiny Gallon. I think Gallon will make the team, but he shoots too many mid-range jump shots.
