Mike has got to go. The offense is almost as dreadful as the D. The team is flat and rarely plays with any intensity. At this point 30 wins may be tough to come by unless Azubuike and Turiaf provide a big spark when they return.

These guys are about to go on a west coast road trip?
Damm, the season could almost be gone by the time they come back.Comment

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth
This is absolutely dreadful coaching man. I really can't believe what i'm seeing out there. How does someone get to that level and still seem like they have no clue and just aren't even trying to win?"I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

What gets me is when the other team goes on a run and D'Antoni just stands there like a little kid not calling a Timeout or anything. Like he's pouting. Or is trying to prove something.Comment

Did he really say that? Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth
Yup, blamed the loss on missed shots and missed free throws. They asked him about the different shot selection from the first half to 2nd half, and he said it was the same, we just made shots in the 2nd half. In reality, we took 19 3's in the first half, 12 in the 2nd, but I guess that isn't significant in a 2 point lossOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth
D'Antoni definitely needs to be fired. He's just not the right fit for this roster.
I think he can be a good coach on some teams, but not this one. And even if it isn't his fault, it's too late to change anyone's mind that it isn't."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. D'Antoni isn't the right fit for any roster outside of the Suns 2002-2008.
And after tonight we know that if we do end up trading for Melo that Landry Fields will be in that package lol."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth
Donnie is a smart basketball person, both financially and with understanding the game itself. There is no way he can be happy with what he's seen on the court for coaching/strategy perspective. There is no way anyone out there with decent understanding of the game of basketball can be happy with what's going on.
We know the defense is going to be below average. If you can't even things out and make our offense great then why the hell do you have a job?
At this point Mike reminds me of college coaches that are always in the Top 25 because they can recruit like crazy but can't coach or make adjustments for ****. Calipari, Rick Barnes, Bruce Pearl, etc."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
