Roger's a shooter and he'll allow for floor spacing.

Give him a 2 year deal for cheap.

Much better than going after Shannon Brown which I did not understand one bit.

EDIT: Looks like we got him 1 year, $1.4M

    Good job Donnie!

This also means that we shouldn't see Chandler at the 2 either which makes me happy.

Chandler put on some pounds to defend SFs & PFs...so yeah, I don't see him playing the 2 much.

I wouldn't mind the Eddy Curry for Jared Jeffries trade reported in the Daily News. We'll get more out of Jeffries than Curry's fat, lazy ***.

It's really unfortunate McGrady didn't work out.

If he played better, the Knicks' wouldn't really need him to score, but could use his excellent passing ability on the wing.

It would be EXTREMELY hard(almost Amare-Nash hard) to stop a pick and roll between McGrady and Amar'e because of McGrady's size and passing ability.

If only he could hit a midrange J still. =[

Nice signing in Mason. The guy can shoot the ball and give you guys some much needed floor spacing.

The only thing I'm worried about is that NY doesn't really have but one person who can handle the ball on the floor at one time... sometimes, that works, but only if your ball dominant player is GREAT.

Maybe Amar'e develops some post moves and takes his game to the next level? I hope so, he's my favorite in the league.

He would take minutes away from Randolph who is younger and is a much more live body.

                  Thanks, but no thanks.

Get more for Eddy's expiring than Jared Freakin' Jeffries.

I'm not convinced that AR is ready to give us a ton of minutes this year. Jeffries and Curry both have expiring deals but Jeffries at least will give us SOMETHING with his defense. I'd make the trade even though I hate Jeffries, but obviously he's better than Curry's corpse.

So when would he be ready?

Why is everyone dog housing this kid?

He can have a Marcus Camby role where they run very few plays for him and he turns into a great weakside defender.

The coaching staff is high on him. I don't see why he can't get minutes and give us more on the offensive end than Jeffries can.

                        A) I haven't dogged him at all, but I'm also realistic.

                        B) From what I've seen it's more mental than anything with. Still needs to mature and handle adversity on the court better.

                          Rough start to the season.....

                          @ Tor and then...

                          @ Boston
                          v Portland
                          v Orlando
                          @ Chicago

Also, we have 11 TNT/ESPN/ABC games this year. I think we had one last year and zero the year before.

Good to see Season Tickets sold out and that the Knicks are playing during Christmas again.

                                FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, Aug. 11, 2010 – The following statement was released today by Madison Square Garden Executive Chairman, James L. Dolan:

"Although I'm disappointed that Isiah will not be working with the Knicks as a consultant, I continue to believe in his basketball knowledge, including his ability to judge talent. He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team. We wish him continued success at FIU. I also believe Donnie Walsh has done a terrific job since joining the Knicks and my tremendous respect for him has only grown since he's joined the organization. I'm confident that the work that Donnie, Coach Mike D'Antoni and their staffs have done this summer has the team poised for long-term success."
Now that this is basically squashed, we can move-on
