This is what we've wanted. We have been complaining about lack of size and rebounding.

This move works because it guarantees STAT is the 4 which makes him a better defender by default.

I know we had the Paul carrot dangling in front of us but this team has all the scoring it needs. Now teams are gonna have to get through Stoudemire and Chandler. I like that in the East.

^^ Not TD, he's not really a PG and certainly not a starting one.

If we can find a decent PG (I've always hated the guy but Baron Davis is someone we might look at) then we have a chance to make some noise this year.

Point guard is not an important position when it comes to winning championships, having a big that can rebound and protect the rim is. Now that I know we weren't going to get CP3 I love the move.

Baron Davis (or some vet PG)
        Fields
        Melo
        Amare
        Chandler

        TD
        Shumpert
        Jorts
        Jerome Jordan
        Jared Jeffries
        Balkman
        Turiaf
        Walker
        Brown

Sounds like Grant Hill is out, three times is not the charm.

No idea where we go from here in terms of filling out the roster.

Any chance of Ray Felton back to NY?

Not this year. He still has 1 year left in Portland.

MLE next year? Assuming we are over the salary cap for next season.

A lot of Knick fans want JJ Barrea, don't know what his asking price is.

I would be estatic if we pull this off. What a frontline......

Plus we'd still have the MLE to make some side moves

There really isn't much else out there in terms of someone we can attempt to make our starting PG. We will have no chance at making noise this year if Toney Douglas is our starting PG. As I said above I hope we avoid Baron Davis unless we're really desperate. Who knows though, may he'd be energized by NYC.

Hopefully we take a flier on Michael Redd too, we definitely need some shooting.

I say we focus on shoring up the SG position with the MLE.

We have 2 raw but defensive-minded PGs. We definitely need shooters in the backcourt.

Anthony Parker, Grant Hill, Wince Carter.

I'm not too worried but it feels good to address the post!

Sounds like Hill is not coming here. Wince Harder would be a horrible move.

I don't like Parker at all but he fills a need and he's a better option than Vince. And as I mentioned, Redd might not be worth a look.

I think Jamaal Tinsley is someone we should look at as well for the Vets minimum. Not the ideal D'Antoni PG because he isn't a good shooter, but definitely someone who can run the pick and roll and can dish the ball.
