This coach is the ****ing worst! You foul in that situation and give Peirce the 2 free throws. Instead you let him get off the 3pt shot and we lose in overtime.

^Especially when the Celtics had no timeouts. Foul them, and the game is over.

Why is stat so stagnant at times? On the Lin hustle play w/ 2min left in the 4th he didn't move one step.

In overtime I rarely seen him react after the release of a shot.

And you can't let rondo get 15+ boards. Turnovers killed us too.

        such a frustrating year. :O

Like we have Never seen that before from Pierce. He kills us at the last second every single time these 2 teams play.

          Mike just doesn't get it.

D'Antoni's on record saying he doesn't believe in that foul.

Everyone else has been shaking their heads.

Stubborn, this guy. It's his way or no way. Really tired of it.

He must also believe in stopping the game clock when your team is UP by calling a timeout.

He's the mike martz of the NBA, he knows how to run an offense and absolutely nothing else. The players are gonna have to take it upon themselves to make some of these decisions in situations like that. Just not smart basketball.

I'm torn with the "Foul" part. I mean Pierce made a tough shot. Personally I can live with that. What frustrates me the most is this damn "Switching" on picks. The Celtics love to create mismatches using "Picks" & The Knicks fell right into the Celtics game plan down the stretch. As you can see with the Pierce 3...

I also think it's time for Pringles to put Shump into the Starting Lineup. Fields has been nothing short of garbage since we've come back from the All-Star Break. Shump's a SG & put Fields back @ SF where he belongs.

Boston has no Timeouts left. An assistant coach should be screaming in the (wasted) timeout that even if the Knicks miss 2 FTs on the other end...Boston wouldn't be able to advance the ball to halfcourt.

                        A 3PT attempt with 9 secs left>>>>>>>>>>>>>A desperation 3PT attempt with 4-5 seconds left.

In all fairness...the refs should not call that at that point in the game.

                        Just being honest here.

The refs were horrendous regardless. But calling an Illegal Screen under 10 seconds left? Nah.

You lost me BE. Are you saying foul & hope we rebound a missed FT? because If I'm not mistaken the Knicks didn't have a foul to give which would have put Pierce on the Foul Line

Exactly. 3 Pointer from 22 feet out or 3 Pointer from 70 feet out.

                            The math is easy.

But who's to say we rebound the missed FT. The man made a tough 3. It's not like he was wide-open. You gotta give the C's credit there. Could we have done somethings differently. Of course:

1- Pick-up Rondo full court, instead of letting the ball role all the way to 1/2 court.
2- Fight thru the picks Garnett set, 1 which should have been called either a foul on Shump or an Offensive on Garnett.
3- Foul Pierce like most people want.

Again for me I can life with the shot, what frustrates me is not doing 1 or 2 in my post

I'm saying foul them before they get off a 3 pointer.
