Are you serious? We're going to pay Landry Fields $20 million if we can't sign one of them? So it wasn't enough for Toronto to embarrass themselves by offering him that ridiculous contract, we have to embarrass ourselves further? SMFH. One step forward, two steps back.



We had better sign either OJ Mayo or Randy Foye, because I cannot deal with Landry shooting laser bricks from 3 for another 3 FREAKIN' YEARS!

I did because it is still the Knicks. Toronto did us a favor by offering him that. I still don't get the Kidd signing at all. Kind of an expensive metoring program in my book.

Mayo wouldn't be too much of an upgrade from Fields. Mayo is pretty much Smith sans the athleticism. Needs the ball in his hands, creates at the expense of a good shot and chucks like there is no tomorrow.

JR can only take what the market dictates.

Fields only got $20M as a bait contract.
Novak got a good deal to lock up the best 3-point shooter in the league.

JR has a repuation. Look at the deal Nick Young had to settle for.

Not many teams out there besides the Knicks want to invest a multi-year deal on a problem child like JR.

Unless a team complete whiffs out in FA and has a need (Chicago for example)...I don't think JR will get too many looks out there.

And he likes being in NY...for reasons other than bball.
