We give him a pass because the guys we pay $100 million aren't doing what we got them to do and Lin's doing far more than what we expected. It's a 5 man game and if he isn't getting it done, someone else should be, probably the guys that should have been to begin with.

Just heard on WFAN the Knicks are raising ticket prices again - just another reason to hate Brain-Dead Dolan. Can this team win a playoff game first, or how about staying above .500? Look at the schedule the rest of the season. You guys think they're finishing higher than 7th?

All this so-called 'talent' and the Knicks are still mediocre. I'm sick of the excuses.

Fields emergence had a lot to do with Lin. Some guys just play well together.

So Lin has played poorly as of late... and so has Fields. Their performances have a lot to do with each other.

Amare has lost 10 pounds in the last 10 days. Shows.

Knicks were +13 with Jorts out there last night. Hope he can get in game shape and get minutes out there with Jared banged up. I just love his toughness and size.

Second unit seems to have better chemistry.

I did want to throw my hands in the air when I saw Carmelo go into free-style mode because the team was down. He promptly got rejected in one possession and a jump ball called in another.

Melo had no lift on his shot...layups.

I think he may still be injured and pride (or not missing the ASG) may have made him come back early.

No excuses. But he's shooting the worse FG% of his career.

He's better than this.

Knicks are having a big problem getting Carmelo good looks in this offense without him dominating the ball. Pringles has to figure a way to make this work. Despite what the idiot 'fans' say on Facebook, the Knicks are going nowhere without Anthony doing his thing.

The thing is...Melo can score off the ball. But it seems like he only wants to function with the ball in his hands.

His mentality has to change.

Also it seems to bother him that he's not the focal point of the offense.

Thats the thing tho, he should be the focal point of the offense. Melo and Amare should be posting dudes up all night, until they have to double. Melo has the best post offense out of any SF's.
Amare is super quick and should be able to feast if hes constantly getting the ball down low.
Why not take advantage of that, and then swing the ball around for open shots when they double.??

If the pick and roll isn't working, this is what the Knicks should be doing. Not constantly freestyling, and then forcing up bad long distance shots like they were doing against Dallas.

And D'anphony bringing in the starters with around 4 minutes left when down by one, was just a really dumb move. Those guys couldn't get it going all night and then you take out the bench players who brought you in the game with their hustle defense. ???

I don't think posting up Melo is the greatest idea because they kind of fall into that Iso ball too often.

The offense should always be moving IMO.

I think Melo should be getting shots off of screens and P&Rs.

Every now and then and in clutch minutes...post him up.

Just my opinion though.

He never posts up in the low post tho, he usually catches it too far away for my liking, usually around the 3pt line and then settles for a jump shot.

Other teams take advantage of mismatches all the time, like Dallas did against Novak. But the Knicks never do the same. They ignore mismatches and just keep doing what they do which is basically freestyle.

Another thing is the constant switching into disadvantaged positions. It happened all game against Boston and it happened all game against Dallas.

That **** annoys me to no end. Fight through the friggin' screen for once! How many times do these cats have to get burned before they get it? Don't the coaches teach this in practice?
