How do you guys feel about Melo's knee? It seems like at least once in each of the last 4 or 5 games or so, he's come up gimpy and has been seen on the sideline rubbing or getting work done on the same knee he had surgery on.

Probably didn't help that his first 2 games back from injury went to OT and he played 49 and 42 minutes.

I swear. Everytime we get to 500. We follow it up with a 2 to 3 game losing streak

How about Coach Fisher dial up some plays for KP near the end of games?

Anything would be better than iso three or four straight plays of a cold Affialo

Didn't watch the game but Joe and Evan led their show off by ripping into Afflalo.

It was painful to watch. Over and over of Affialo on the block shooting fade away bricks. I understand if he was hot but he wasnt. Thomas, kp, and Galloway were the hot ones. Galloway probably had one of his best shooting games this year

It's very frustrating when go IsoFlalo.

Every time Melo is out Fisher's strategy down the stretch is to feed Afflalo in the post. Ridiculous that Taps barely gets a touch in those situations. Ridiculous that we abandon any & all ball movement. Ridiculous that it doesn't work worth a damn when we do it with Melo, why does Fisher think it'd work with Afflalo?

And Melo for the most part has been moving the ball this year. Unbelievable

I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Fisher more as a coach than I hated him as a player but he's getting close to making that a reality.

watching the knicks against the warriors is like playing 2k16 with warriors thompson making green releases all day and knicks showing all sorts of transition defense lapses and poor pnr no hedge defense and big man kp6 cannot keep up with the smaller draymond. i realli think they need a better coach for the defense department.

Fisher makes no sense in this article....."We don't run plays".....WTH?

It was the day after his beating administered by Draymond Green, and Kristaps Porzingis was in the practice facility trying to fight off a defender and create enough space to accept a post-up pass.…

                            I believe all of that.

It's pretty clear when Melo's not on the floor. I think the main difference between us last year and us this year is in the 4th quarter, Melo is a lot more willing to defer when defenses hone in on him and doing that creates offense for other guys. When he's not on the floor, we don't know wtf to do so we end up with Afflalo post ups.

How much triangle are we really running now anyway? It feels like even less than last year.

That is one of the top reasons why he shouldn't jump right into being the head coach. He should have pay his dues.

I guarantee not running plays is approved by Jackson.

I don't know if Fisher really means they don't run plays. There's an offense and they believe in finding the advantage in what the defense presents. It can work when you have a roster of experienced, smart players.

Melo is a smart, tested player that recognizes those defenses and attacks. But most of the Knicks are young and lack experience to see those things and who knows when they will.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
