      Carmelo's right on this...it would make the Knicks even more of a laughingstock;

      OAKLAND — Carmelo Anthony says he would never “accept” Phil Jackson coaching only home games next season, and while Anthony isn’t opposed to Kurt Rambis becoming the full-ti…

        I think the only way Phil would coach is if we were a contender. Then he would swoop in and claim he saves us. Like riley in Miami that year

              I don't know which is worse. Melo looking exasperated with this team or Melo having a point because no one else seems capable of putting the ball in the basket.

                    In the context of that picture, sure. His comments after the game, he's right.

                    You may disagree. That's okay. Melo is the only capable player on the roster right now. And the effort level of that roster has been reminiscent of a lot of Knicks teams.

                    I'm not about to boo or blame the player doing his job well.

                      I wonder if Phil is keeping Rambis on board in an attempt to drive Melo into demanding a trade.

                      There is no way that someone with the basketball smarts of Phil thinks Rambis is a capable head coach. No f'n way. We have had dreadful coaches over the last dozen years and Rambis is as bad or worse than any of them.

                        I'll still believe Rambis is the coach next year when I see it.

                        All Phil has said is polite stuff about Rambis, and that he wants to see improvement if Rambis is going to get the job next year. Somehow the Frank Isola's have turned that into "Phil isn't even going to consider anybody else."

                        If he thought Rambis could be the head coach he would have gotten the job 2 years ago instead of a guy with zero experience.

                          What did he say after the game?

                          As far as I'm concerned...screw Melo. Plenty of times this season when he's played like *** cheeks. He's the leader of the team and for him to pull that is just bogus. He had his chance to go elsewhere in free agency and he has had a chance to waive his NTC.

                          He's above being in a huddle? The "leader" of the team?

                          I can't wait until this marriage is over. He's a fraud. Always has been one.

                            Definitely don't agree with his behavior. At all. Would never side with that.

                            Was only talking about Melo's actions vs words. His actions are awful but his words are right.

                            He talked about guys not competing and giving up. He's just not a leader. But that's okay. Not everyone is. Not every star is either. The Knicks don't have anyone worthy of that role and anyone that might be has been cast out to the bench or released because of age.

                                every loss means the raptors are getting a better pick next year. that would be the most frustrating thing for the mgnt and the fans.
