I love that quote... I'm really looking forward to this fight.

Floyd is my fav prizefighter. This guy I work with says that Gatti will KO him in the 6th. He and I have these boxing debates all the time. It's funny though that I am able to call each fight. For instance, he took Trinidad and I took Winky in 7. Turns out he wins in the distance, but the fight isn't even a split. It's unanimous. I really think that Gatti will lose, even Ward said that he's taking Floyd to KO Gatti. Thanks for the find on the article.

This fight kinda reminds me of Jerry Cooney versus Larry Holmes.
Umm...lets get something straight Floyd...most people don't dislike you because of your race, its your personality that turns them off. This fight isn't a battle of races, its more a battle of attitudes and personalities.

As talented as PBF is, I can't wait for the day that some blemishes his face or his record. I don't think Gatti can do it, but maybe Kostya can after he disposes of Hatton. Gatti is out of his league, but I like the underdog...

Floyd has some character issues to say the least. That said, I think he will probably win a decision over Gatti if the fight goes the distance. Floyd definitely has more boxing skills, but in the last fight I saw him, he looked distratced. If he's still distracted, he may being seeing the mat and Gatti in an 8 round KO. But if I was forced to bet, Floyd gets the decision.

This is going to be the first PPV I buy in years.

            When is this fight?

This is a tough one to call simply because I don't know about Floyd's defense/chin.

Gatti's prone to getting pummelled but he can turn it on in an instant.

            Tough...

Floyd should be able tp frustrate Gatti if he stays away from the big punch.

Yeah, that's what intrigues me about this fight... Gatti is one of those dudes who will take 5 shots to land one big shot of his own... I suspect that if Floyd gets tapped on the chin just right, like Kostya Tszyu against Zab Judah a couple years ago, he will be laid out.

Flyod is way over rated in my Book, who has he fought worth saying, Gatti has been in the ring with very good boxers and won, Flyod has never fought anyone like Gatti, he will soon know what it is to fight a real boxer, no I mean fighter.

                      Re: Mayweather Jr interview....

The reasons why I say that PBF will beat (KO) Gatti is simple. The jab will keep Gatti at bay. Gatti probably won't get a chance to even see PBF behind all the jabs that he'll be throwing. Also, you can't hit what's not there. PBF is probably one of the best defensive fighters I've seen in sometime. He rarely gets hit, and when he has, he's rebounded, changed his style, and then suprised his opponent and won on that account. Bottom line. If he keeps Gatti on the outside, it will go the distance. However, PBF is so fast that he can keep Gatti on the outside and then use his quickness to get inside and reel off a few body shots. Eventually Gatti will wear down and then PBF will ride the jab to the win. Also, I think that PBF will get so far ahead on points that Gatti has to become aggressive with his headtracking, when that happens he'll hit him with Tarver's "One Hitter Quitter, the Good Night Irene". Regardless, it is a fight that will bring a lot of spectators. I wouldn't say that he didn't fight anyone. Both Castillio and Corrales are tops in their respective classes, not to forget how he defeated "Chop Chop" Corley. Also you fail to realize that Mayweather is a more patient fighter while Gatti is a slugger. Sluggers don't really make for great comp for tacticans. Gatti may land some blows, but he'll tire himself out trying to do so. I just feel as though PBF is the better of the two guys. It's just an opinion, but when Ward says that Gatti can't beat PBF, then that should tell you something. June 25th just can't get here quick enough.
