a.If a fighter is moving to the right and throws a right hand it would have full power......But if a fighter is moving to the right and throws a left hand it would NOT have full power because your fighter is moving away from the punch and not putting their body behind it.
b. If a fighter is moving backwards and throws any punch they wouldn't have very much power because they wouldn't be putting their body into it. But if they were moving forward as they punch they would have full force behind their punches.
c.If you catch an opponent at the end of a straight punch it would have full effect, but if you are close to your opponent and throw straight punches they would not have maximum effect because you can't get full extension on your straight punches from inside. (you would have to throw hooks and uppercuts when at close range to have maximum impact punches.)
2. Improvements to defense.
a. keep parrying (as it is true to boxing) BUT eliminate the ridiculous overemphasis on how effective a perry is. A fighter shouldn't react to a parry the same way they do to a punch!!!! Make it realistic. Only the opponents punching hand should be knocked down by the parry not both hands and it should only be for a split second not 3-5 seconds.
b. Make covering up more effective so that we could perform "Winky" like defense if we want. If you press up on the right analog while holding the block button to cover up it should block any straight punch and uppercuts TO BOTH THE HEAD AND BODY. **However you would have to twist your fighters body to the right and left(using L1 and the left analog moving it left or right) to block hooks to the head or body. If you didn't twist to the left or right ot block hooks you would still partially block them so that they would not do FULL damage, but they would still do Partial damage.
c. Right now when you hold down while blocking it does that ridiculous "stomach cover-up" that isn't true to boxing. Never ever does a fighter drop both hands to his stomach to block body punches. Get rid of that. ****Instead replace it.... When you press down to cover up it should have your fighter hold his back hand up high, drop his front hand and hang it down by his side and bring up his front shoulder to hide his chin behind (floyd mayweather style)This defensive style would use the fighters back hand to block punches to that side......Punches to the side that has the hand down you would have to bob and weave away from...but if they did land they wouldn't do as much damage because your chin is tucked in.(I talk about this next)
3.******Where a punch lands should determine how much damage it does. A punch to the chin would be the most effective headpunch doing the most damage. A shot to the temple or behind the ear should be next in amount of damage dealt. Punches to other parts of the head(nose, mouth, eyebrows, forehead) would give your fighter cuts and maybe a broken nose but wouldn't do as much damage as getting hit in the crucial areas of the head (that I mentioned above) would. ***The same should be true about body shots. A Rib shot would do a lot of damage(maybe even break a rib), a shot to the solar plexis would do a lot of damage especialy when it first lands and knocks the wind out of an opponent, and the same with a liver shot.
