    Boxing Tidbits 6-30-2005

Here are some stories brewing in the boxing world.

'Hitman' wants another shot at world title

More details could come at a news conference scheduled for Friday. The News reported it is believed that Hearns will fight on the same card with his son, Ronald, 26, a middleweight who is 6-0.

I think it's more of a 'I want to fight on the same card as my son" type of deal. I'd be shocked if he wants to fight full time again.

340,000 is piss poor.. Another reason why Boxing won't become mainstream anytime soon.. Imagine if ABC showed the fight.. I bet 25 million ppl would have watched it, attracting few fans..
