I have the magazine and Kudo and his team are truly going to surprise alot of critics. The Haymaker is going to get tweaked and he hoping to fill all the previous gaps in the roster to include every boxer the public can name. That includes Mike Tyson and Oscar DeLa Hoya.

But how well will they be implemented? By the way, which public are they talking about? Public being me isn't a good public. Chicago is a good boxing city but honestly not too many people are into it as a sport because most of the big fights are on Pay-Per-View. I want to get into it but with all the different companies and divisions, it kind of turns me off a bit. I'm actually looking forward to getting into it more. I watch FSN sometimes and CSN when they get them. My magazine over the break. Didn't open it yet but it looks like a Def Jam fighting game is coming out....AGAIN!! Looks sweet....

          WOW

ESPN footage will be amazing. Sounds like there is a lot to do in between fights to.

Who are the commentators? I'm hoping Atlas and Popa or Atlas and Brian Kenny...

Hopefully they got rid of the Haymakers or at least reduced it's effect.

With X05 here has there been any mention of Fight Night 3 at all? I am dying for a new boxing game.

i'm looking 4ward 2 this game. when i saw it at e3, i couldn't believe it. hopefully everything works out and they r able 2 make the game that they want 2 make and don't say "if we had more time... we're thinking about putting that in the next version...etc...". hopefully they get alot of boxers in there.

i'm really interested in seeing how they're going 2 implement each fighter's fighting style.

good luck ea!!!! i hope u make it happen!!!!!!

I'm excited about the changes to the career mode. Scheduling, studying tapes of opponents, rivalries, etc.
I will rent this for sure but I'll hold be holding my breath. I'm still worried that the training portion of the game will be horrible. I don't want to fight robotic manicans or hit a heavy bag to gain x amount of points on my power.

If this game ends up being a disappointment I'm going to buy a used fliptop PS2 off of Ebay and buy VB2 (or VB3 if that comes out). The used PS2 will probably be cheaper than FN3.

Sounds great, but if EVERY knockdown still looks like the end of someone's life, I'm out. Body shots and jabs shouldn't knock a man unconcious.

And they have to do something about the straight right hand. It needs to be more powerful than the jab.

Something also needs to be done about the haymakers.

And how often do fighters get knocked down 5+ times?

In general, I hope they lean more towards sim and away from arcade. Every year they say strategy will play more into it, but it still turns into a slugfest.

I will have to agree with koolbubbaice and BezO on this one. Kudo and EA raped me with FN and FNR2. They won't get me this time. Did you guys forget how amped everyone was for FNR2 and all the promises that Kudo made, only to discover that it wasn't all that it was hyped up to be?

Like BezO said, fighters don't get knocked down like 5 times in one fight. Most of the time, it is ONE and DONE. What happened to the one-punch KOs that Kudo promised in R2? He must have confused knock down with knock out. I swear, ther are fools that think a fighter can get knocked out 3 times in the same fight. What happened to the days of the original Knockout Kings where one punch could dramatically change the dynamics of a fight? This does happen in real life, but in FNR2, punches that SHOULD end the fight are landed 30+ times in one round. Which brings me to realistic damage control. If a fighter is throwing 100 punches per round, he isn't going to last very long. The stamina/punch output and stamina/punch damage ratio definitly needs tweeking. And this game seriously needs a ref that can stop fights if a fighter is taking too much damage. 70% of all fights are ended this way.

If these thinngs are not fixed, or at leaste implemented in a way that we can tweek gameplay (i.e. game sliders) I will not be interested...I don't care HOW realistic the fighters look, I will be better off playing Mike Tysons punchout.

You don't know how many hours I logged on that game. It was my favorite boxing game of all time.
