Like BezO said, fighters don't get knocked down like 5 times in one fight. Most of the time, it is ONE and DONE. What happened to the one-punch KOs that Kudo promised in R2? He must have confused knock down with knock out. I swear, ther are fools that think a fighter can get knocked out 3 times in the same fight. What happened to the days of the original Knockout Kings where one punch could dramatically change the dynamics of a fight? This does happen in real life, but in FNR2, punches that SHOULD end the fight are landed 30+ times in one round. Which brings me to realistic damage control. If a fighter is throwing 100 punches per round, he isn't going to last very long. The stamina/punch output and stamina/punch damage ratio definitly needs tweeking. And this game seriously needs a ref that can stop fights if a fighter is taking too much damage. 70% of all fights are ended this way.

If these thinngs are not fixed, or at leaste implemented in a way that we can tweek gameplay (i.e. game sliders) I will not be interested...I don't care HOW realistic the fighters look, I will be better off playing Mike Tysons punchout.
Definitely one of the best explanations for my iffy thoughts about the game. The realism is missing. I'd love to get the practicing looking better, different kinds of reactions to those crushing punches, stamina, and all that other stuff. Honestly, I really hated how FN 2 played. I could beat the dookie out the computer every match. Went perfect and retained my title. Guess where the game is now....?? Definitely have to get more strategy in there. More depth and all that stuff. I do wonder what 2K is planning on doing seeing that I heard they have some type of boxing in the works I believe.

I can't find the article. but it said something like EA wants to have every boxer the public heard of. Notable names missing have been Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya, and EA wants to change that.
