I Wonder Why Game Companies stray away from making 3D boxing sims ?
I wonder why gaming companies stray away from making 3D boxing sims ? Boxing games have a large fan base.Fans just want a company to capture boxing the way boxing is.Companies need to jump on the band wagon and give EA some competition.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Tags: None -

I'd like to see VC make a boxing game. The animations might be a bit stiff, but it would probably be more sim than EA's version.
I'd be fine with Fight Night 2 if they didn't make every knock down so dramatic. No need to have fighters unconcioius every time they get knocked down. That and more fighters like Tyson, Hearns, Whitaker, Hagler, Spinks, ect.Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh? -

boxers road(ps1), and victorious boxer 2(ps2) are boxing sims..they are very deep sims at that, but the dev. and the publisher decided not to release the 2 titles here in the states because they didn't think they would sell well....if you have a ps2, i would reccomend importing VB2 its worth it if you are looking fore a true sim of the sport.Comment

Companies stray away from 3D boxing sims, because the names will sell the game. It gets expensive to sign licensing deals with every popular boxer. They all want top dollar. A generic boxing sim wouldn't sell well here, because there are no names attached to it. You might think it's great, I would think it was great, but there aren't 1.5-2 million people that would think it was great.Comment
