It is Peter by the way. And if Wlad loses, I will be shocked.

I'd like to see Peter win. I'm not a big fan of either Klitschko and Peter has that quick knockout ability that's always exciting to see.

          Cotto TKO8
          Peter KO6

If Peter comes out aggressive it'll be over inside 3. If not, Wlad keeps him on the end of the jab for about 5 or 6 rounds before Peter finally decides to really pressure him and take him out in the mid-late rounds.

I used to be a HUGE Wlad fan, until he got knocked out a few times, Peter will indeed kncok Wlad out tonight, Peter is one of my new favorites as of late, I will be in no way suprised if Wlad gets knocked out, I guess you don't watch boxing much, if you will be suprised if wlad gets knocked out.

Peter better improve his defense or he's going to get knocked out....

That was a great night of boxing. Wlad showed some heart in the last 2 rounds. Peter has some huge potential, but he needs to get some rhythm to his fighting instead of looking for the home run. He won't win any fights that go the distance. But he is young and will be a better fighter than Wlad in the long run.

Wow, that Cotto fight was just...wow. Very exciting fight, but for the second time in 3 fights, I was just waiting for him to get knocked out. Great heart, great talent, but unless he's able to start blocking some of those punches he kept taking (both tonight and vs chop chop 2 fights ago) he'll never be a superstar. He wont get past, Judah, Floyd, Kostya or Mosley with that defense.

As for klitch and Peter...1 word can describe it...Frustrating. Nothing else nothing more, I still dont believe hes got a chin or stamina. Its just that Peter wore out from all the holding Wlad was doing and he hardly caught him with a real clean shot. He fought like the bigger man tonight, and won what i thought was an easy decision. But it just seemed and felt like I was watching Ruiz in there. Jab and hold all in 1 movement every single time. I was with letterman, yea Wlad won, but wow was it frustrating and not fun to watch.

could you imagine a Wlad vs Ruiz fight...haha there'd be more clinches than punches thrown.

Funny, I guess you do not watch boxing very much. It was a matchup problem and Peter should fire his handlers for setting that fight up at such an early stage of his career. Peter is no where technically capable of beating a skilled, larger man. With the combination of Steward in his corner and Wlad learning from past mistakes, Peter was not going to win this fight. Wlad is only going to get better as he learns to fight the right way for his size. Wlad's only knock is his stamina, not his chin. In all three knockdowns, none of them were clean punches (2 of them were direct effects of behind the head punches). Wlad can continue to learn not to punch himself out and control his gas tank, he will become increasingly hard to beat.

As Lennox once said, "it takes more than a left hook and a haircut to beat Lennox Lewis." This was his comment after dismantling Tua. And this instance, it takes more than a solid chin and wild haymakers to beat a skilled larger man.

I agree with you on some parts, but Peter is a long way away from being better than Wlad in the long run. Wlad is 5-1 v.s. the Top 10, has a gold medal, has had belts, has the best trainer in the business, is continually improving, and is not even 30 years old yet. Peter is and will get better, but he has to make some serious strides to be able to beat a top flight heavyweight. And knocking out Jeremy Williams is a far cry from that. At Peter's age, Wlad was beating Byrd and a host of others.

For someone that recognizes that they have had the unfortunate viewing of the devil (Ruiz), I am truly amazed that you could even compare the Wlad and him. Yes, Wlad held. Just like Ali, Lewis, and other greats of yesteryear. I went through and watched my tivo of the fight last night, and in no where in the fight did he excessively hold like Ruiz. And if you go back on the watch the fight, numerous holds were caused by Peter's exhaustion when he would thrown a haymaker and then come into Wlad. I am in no where saying Wlad did not hold, but it when he employed it, it was on a pure skillfull basis. At no point could the ref warn Wlad because it was never excessive. Even if he did, he would have to recognize Peter's back of the head blows and that is far worse than any amount of holding. If the ref would have been strict either way, the fight would have been a DQ win for Wlad.

And as far as Ruiz, we will not have to worry about him much longer. Valuev, a 7 foot russian, should win his fight this Saturday that will make him more or less the mandatory challenger for Ruiz' belt. And this big bastard cannot be held, he should destroy Ruiz.

Another important note, is look at the result of Peter's face after the end of the fight. In no where did a Ruiz opponent ever look even remotely close to that.

Peter looked like a guy who was hit by a truck. His nose and mouth were bleeding profusely and both eyes were shut. Wlad beat the hell out of him with 12 rounds of continuous jabs and hooks.
