Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
Post them here and I'll send them to the Producer.Tags: None -
Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
What kind of changes can we expect in the Career Mode?
Will we be able to change weight classes through diet?
Can we own a stable of fighters?
Will there be multiple belts?
Will there be injuries?
Will there be a proper training element to the game? Including the ability to choose how much training our fighter will be subjected to.
Will there be multiple promoters that our fighter can sign with?
Will our fighter age and if so can WE decide when he retires?
Will we be able to schedule fights according to a 12 month calendar instead of only being able to fight 3 times a year?
Will each punch have different ratings? Just because you have 100 power it shouldn't mean that your jab is a perfect 100. Or that your left hook is a perfect 100.
Thanks! -
Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
You always come thru Stevehere's a few:
1)Will the game include detailed GAMEPLAY SLIDERS? NBA Live does a great job of providing us with plenty of sliders to tweak various aspects of gameplay to our liking!
2) Will there be options to turn off the "1st Person view" or KO ready" features in the game?
3) Will fighters have their real signature punch, such as Hatton's lead jab/hook?
4) can you watch the computer fight's in career mode, for an example your'e thinking of having a tough fight with this certain boxer, and you want to watch how he performs in his recent bout, maybe the champion. just like holyfield did with mike tyson.
5) is there any way to see all the fight results and fight's getting made in career mode, like a monthly newspaper article that says the results for the fight's that were done and going to be made for that month the ticker was no good, there were many flaws with the ticker. it gave you the wrong information quite a few times?
6) are there going to be more belts in one weight division that will actually allow you to really unify the division last years you had one belt per division, and had to move weight division just to gt a shot at other titles?
7) will there be one punch knockout's or just knockdown's? when i say one punch knockout's i mean a fighter can come out in round one, throw one punch and knock the guy out, last year you wasn't able to do that?
8) is there still going to be an amateur mode, if so is it still only a ten fight mode?
9) can injury's now occur during fight's?
10) Will there be options to turn off the "1st Person view" or KO ready" features in the game? (This was mine)
11) Will fighters have their real signature punch, such as Hatton's lead jab/hook?
12) Will "REAL" boxers actually appear in the career mode?
13) Will there be any other reason to clinch other than KO moment... When in a clinch, can you punch this time??
14) Which fighters were removed from last year's version?
15)How many different styles are there this year?
16) My question is has the stamina issue been fix in this year game ? how much will the Ref be involved in the ring. And will our guys come out in robes since last year Kudo said it was hard for them to do using the current system.
17) Will there be variety of knockdowns ie. standing 8,on a knee, staggering animations, more momentum,etc...?
18) Will the jab be able to break up those that come in with a HM having there hand **** back ?
19) Has the jab and straight's been improved this year ? and could the jab or straight be a punch we could add power to or make it one of the main punches to work on in carrer mode. Since they said we can take our fighter and really focues on certin types of punches for our fighter...
20) Will there ever be the real world titles in the game? IBF, WBO,WBA,etc..
21) Will Ea look into adding an In-fighting game engine? where opponents get close and throw punches with different effects based on how close you are? Will there be punch peramters? Where you can practice certain punches and create strengths in certain punches. Like left hooks, or straight right, which could then become you Ko punches, to further define your style?
22) Will there be real Tko stoppages with the ref stopping the fight from cuts, taking too many unanswered punches, or by a doctor's request? Will opposing trainers throw in the towel if they feel that their fighter cant win?
23) How many stances are in the game? Will there ever be more than the current 3 in Power, speed, and balance?
24) Will you be able save replays of fights, via some for of archive to study your past fights and future opponents?
25)The Stamina is another thing that must be addressed? will you get tired if you average over 45 power punches a round?
26) Will there be any suspense in the decisions at the end of the fights?
Thanks broLast edited by Motown; 12-14-2005, 03:37 PM.Comment

Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
1. Can you change minutes per round in career mode or have an accelerated clock? Last year the feature was removed. It is very important to me to have less than 3 real minute rounds in career mode because with 3 real minutes you get 100+ punches per round even at heavyweight and that isn't real boxing. It also allows for more decisions and less KO's for the sim box community.
2. Can you have more than 1 user controlled boxer in career mode? It would be great if you and a friend could each have a boxer in the same career/legacy.
3. Can you still create boxers and put them in the career mode. This feature has been in the last 2 fight nights and it is very important to keep it as I just create the real boxers that are not in the game.
4. Can we get more statistics on the boxers like all the opponents, their records, how they won or least each fight UD10, KO5, Draw, etc.
5. Will there be more ways to train this year, last year there were only a few. We need more like roadwork, sparring, weights, speed, heavy, other endurance, etc.
6. Multiple belts would be great per weight class, can we get them.
7. can we get Injuries, and cut damage that take time to heal? We need more injuries like broken jaw, ribs, hand, etc. That would take a long time to heal, possibly career ending. If you let your fighter get all cut up maybe it would take 6 months before they could step in the ring again. Or more susceptable to cuts in future.
8. Will the boxer be wearing his belt to the ring this year, or better yet, an entourage carrying all his belts?
9. Is cutman/corner game in this year? I actually really liked the feature. But can we get a ton of different trainers and cutmen to choose from?Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
- Has the parry been toned down and it's effects made more realistic, or is it the same arcadey over-exaggerated parry from last years version of the game?
- Have you read the idea articles: "The Brain Shake Factor" and "'Total'Total Punch Control"(currently posted at the official EA fight night boards, where they are running polls on the ideas) and if so are they ideas you are considering in future versions of the game
- Have you made improvements to the training in career mode. Is is still set up so that you only train one time before each fight, or have you switched to a calendar, day-by-day type training where you actually train for the weeks and months leading up to a fight instead of just the day before a fight?

Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
With only 32 boxers, why are you continuing to put forth a lackluster effort in the roster area? There was as much or more 6 or 7 years ago on the PS1. Where is Foreman, Moorer, Lewis (used to be a coverboy), Klitschkos (were in once), Holmes, Lyle, Brewster, Valuev, Peter, Spinks, Bowe, etc...........
Will there still be an abundance of fake boxers in the career mode with purple colored dreadlocks?
If Ali or anyone for that matter gets parried, will he act like he hit a wall as hard as he could and almost collapsed?Comment

Can we choose the country (ie., boxer's hometown, bigger venue for a grudgematch/title fight) for matches? I would love to see this incorporated somehow into a storyline. I think Career Mode needs to go beyond Training->Store->Match, Training->Store->Match.
Give us incentives to get top PPV billing. Whereas the goal would be to get the most box office money. Let's say you have Options (like you have training options). Choose %s pre-fight for Training, Trash Talking, Media Time, etc. Let's say you max out your Trash Talking and you come into the ring lazy with lower reaction time & stamina.
Things like that^ will get you a much better game. I would love to love this game but it needs work.
Sorry for the tangent. I've bolded my question.Comment

Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview Questions...
I thought of another question....
When we create a boxer, can the announcer say his real name instead of one of the 15 cheezy nicknames you are forced to choose. It gets real irratating when you have a fighter nicknamed "Bam Bam" and so is the opponent. And the anouncer keeps saying "Bam Bam" is jabbing his opponent. "Bam Bam" blocked that punch from "Bam Bam"...Blah blah blah.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
