I have an idea for Online FNR3... i need feedback
It would be cool if you could set up Boxing Federations or Associations like the WBA or IBF, etc kinda like a league and have title belts for the differnet weight classes. It would be cool if whoever the administrator of the league had the option to schedule main events. The way i would envision it would be people get into a league, federation, or whatever you wanna call it. You fight whoever you want when you want but they have to be in the league then maybe every two weeks or how often the admin wants to do it is set up main event title fights. Send out via online features the notification of when the next main event is coming up and whos on the card. Of course youd have rankings and the number one contender would get the title shot in his weight class. Also what would add to the excitment of the main event fights is they could do it via DOA4 style. Those of you who havenet played DOA4 online, there is a spectator mode where you can log in and see twopeople fight it out. Id say you have the option of setting up 10, 20, 30, and 40 man leagues. And you could take it a step further and break it down into 10, 20, 30, or 40 people per weight class within your boxing federation. Another cool thing about this IMO would mean everytime you fight someone online in your league there is incentive because each win moves you up in the rankings for a title shot. Also people can come and go from the league/federation but once you leave your record goes back to 0-0. I like the idea of being able to go into your league and watch the pay per view or main event fights so you can study the other real life players and take notes on thier fighting styles etc so if you wind up being the new #1 contender the next week or two you have studied your opponent.

What I was saying is that the whole idea of joining different "federations" or whatever you want to call them, and then having inter-federation matches somewhat resembles the clan concept.
If someone from your federation wins a big match against a rival federation, thats kind of like a team victory.
Thanks for clarifying that boxing is an individual sport, though.
lol.

The team concept you suggested reminded me of my wrestling days. If you won by a pin, decision or major decision (win by more than 10 points-I think that's what they called it) you got so many points for your team, and of course a loss resulted in a big fat ZERO. There could be something to that but I'm sure it will not be available within EA's interface.Comment

I believe there were various formulas set up to determine how fighters are ranked, polls to gauge fighter popularity, etc. all of which help to determine who gets title shots and whatnot. The league website would even do interviews with fighters leading up to fights.Comment

Originally posted by khujo711You should check out the FNBC league (among others) set up that has been run for the past 2 Fight Night games. Has several different weight classes, but instead of "Federations" they have promoters who have a stable of fighters. The promoters actually arrange your fights and negotiate purses.

An idea very similar to this was given to the developers last year when some people received early copies of FN2 and had to do reviews, feedback and what they would like to see in future versions.Comment
