Since the haymaker has been toned down...

who are the non sim boxers using online this year? Last year the haymaker abusers used either Marciano or Lamotta because they were so overpowering. Who's seems to be the preference this year?

I'll probably pick the game up next week so I wanted to get a head's up on whether that type of thing was happening this year..

Frazier = the New Marciano. I mostly fight middle weights and it seems like they're going with Duran. I like Leonard and RJJ myself.

haymaker = KO punch? anytime i attempt a haymaker, and connect successfully, it goes to the KO scene.

I don't play online but I'd bet anyone that has the philly shell defense uses haymakers the most. I believe it allows a slightly longer pause for the opponent when you counter.

TheGenecyst, is it because you are using the Flash Haymaker or whatever the hell it's called? There are 3 different ones, normal, flash, and stun I think. The normal haymaker is just a powerful punch that only goes to slow motion if the dude has low health or sometimes you can knock them out with a lucky one.

I am terrible countering with haymakers off of the parry. I think I'm just too slow. Usually by the time I get it off, the other guy is back on his feet and has leaned away or is ready to block it..

Haymakers are pretty easy to detect..Play a guy online & he only landed 4 haymakers out of 26 attempts..

I'm not sure that it's easy for anybody. I'm 1-5 online (but I am 5-0 in unranked games-I really am) but nobody has yet hit me with a haymaker or impact punch off of a parry-not even once!

Jeff Lacy is a LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT who is more powerful (90) then anybody other than Joe Frazier (97).

I hear you... Last year I mostly fought online as middleweight because I felt that heavyweights were too rampant with haymaker abusers.

Whenever someone picked LaMotta, I would go with Ray Robinson and jab them to death while constantly moving... can remember several guys quitting on me and saying I was too "boring"..

Yep I've been pretty much strictly Middleweight. Don't sleep on Jermain Taylor. He's pretty great. If they pick Roberto Duran, I basically slaughter them...at least so far. I'm 12-3 online, I had lost my first two then went on a twelve game win streak until fighting some guy that was 168-12, I lasted 5 rounds with him and we both knocked each other down....we were both JT too.
