    FNR3: Stoppages

The way stoppages are handled in this game leave a lot to be desired. I was in the 8th round of a 10 round fight, and I had already knocked the other guy down 2 times in the round already. The 3rd knockdown surely would have ended it, after hitting him with a 4 hook combo he was up against the ropes in the KO moment. I hit him with a hook, and a milisecond before I hit him with a second hook he got off a quick jab. All the sudden the ref stops the fight so I'd assumed I won, but nooooooooooo his quick jab did just enough damage for the ref to stop the fight. I mean it was unbelievable, I don't get mad while playing video games, but that sent me over the top.

I'd like to see an animation where the ref calls time, and then a real doctor checks out the cut and gives his advice. I'd also like to see stoppages if someone is out on the ropes, or getting hit with multiple unanswered shots. The way alot of the stoppages are called in this game are totally unrealistic. The ref wouldn't just hop in and stop the fight after a quick jab, but seemingly thats what happens alot to me in this game.

I agree the stoppages are ridiculous.

seems like EVERY fight of mine the announcer mentions a stoppage in the 2nd round when one guys starts landing more shots than the other.

I had the other guy bleed form both eyes, and in the the 3rd round he cut my left eye. In the 4th round he hit me in the ribs and the stopped the fight.
Kinda cheap, since I was winning each round 10-8,10-7

If you dont want to be on the losing end of a stop, dont play with Holyfield. The stoppages are weak, not the execution of it but moreso the lack of a cut scene of some sort.

Could just turn it off. Hasn't happend to me but I really wanted to KO a guy and as soon as I was about to it stopped. I'd also like to see the AI corner throw in the towel.

A minoe complaint, but I agree. EA really got lazy on that one.

They got lazy with alot of stuff. But the stoppages happen too "all-of-a-sudden." I was kinda shocked the first time a stoppage happened (I was on the winning end) b/c I didn't even notice a cut on the other guy (playing on xbox).

I've been playing online almost exclusively. Are you referring to being lazy on gameplay issues or the career mode?

If the ref stops the fight, do you get credit for a KO?

No. Not online, at least. It would be a TKO but for some reason is not counted in the stats..
