NE1 else notice this game gets tough?

I'm 41-8 as a light heavyweight. I started out 35-1 with my only loss to RJJ.
The last few fights have been real hard. I use a speed boxer and can no longer
knock out my opponents often. So for you guys who are knocking everyone out by
the 4th round, just give it some time, things get much tougher...For me anyway...

Before my last fight the game forced me to move to Heavyweight. I played as smart as I could with my speed boxer.
I won a 12 round decision. I took the first 8 rounds then I got hurt. I had to run and counter the last 4 rounds only
winning the 12th. Man it was a nail biter...

    I'm playing on hard difficulty.

That's good to hear. I'm playing on Hard as well, and am 10-1 so far. I still have a ways to go in career mode, so I'm looking forward to tougher fights.

      Yup,

That's why u have to use those early fights to work on your technique. Don't just try to take everyone out early, but work on fighting strategies against the different fighter styles. That makes it real.

yeah I have noticed this as well. The boxers become uber aggressive and just come after you the entire time. The ability to parry is the most important. I wish I would have tried to fight smarter through my first 35 fights. Now I try blocking but am not real great at parrying and can get myself into some trouble. Wish I would have boosted my chin a bit as well.

I am a light heavyweight as well with a record of 21-1-1 I believe. The draw came in my very first pro fight and then I cruised through my next 20 wins. Then on my next fight my opponent just came out on a mission and knocked me out in the 5th or 6th round. I like the extra aggressiveness though, makes it more exciting.

So what's the secret to parrying. I'm at the beginning of my career and I'm trying to hone my skills for when the competition gets tougher.

If you not real good at parrying, like me, you can rope a dope them.
Don't get in the corner, use the middle of the ropes between the corners.
Lean back into the ropes, move your head side to side and block either high/low. Watch your opponents
hands very carefully. I've gotten so I can block about 90% of the punches
this way, then when they tire out, I come out swinging.
Rope a Dope works great in this years game.
