    FN3 Online....

Is it me or do guys treat this game like its chess. You pick a guy and they try to pick a guy that gives them the best chance to win. I thought skill decided this game.

So anytime I use a created figther these guys disconnect or dont wanna play. You cant max out fighters so its not cheating to use a created guy. But it does give you the element of surprise b/c they dont know what your guys weakness is, so its all based on skill.

Yes you CAN max out your created guy if you create him in "Create a Champ" instead of Career Mode.

I think what he's saying is that even if you put everything at 100% that when you check the ratings in "Play Now" everything is not at 100.

there is nothing worse then kicking someones %&^$ then they hit you with two shots and your guy is in trouble. if you want to prove that you are good in this game then fight with the real guys.

Exactly.....so even if you give a guy 100 in all stats, he still will be adjusted in his ratings based on his size, weight class, etc....

No true......what if a real fighter in the game does not exist with the combo of styles that i like to use...which is why i use custom guys...

what guys do is wait to see who you pick and then pick the best guy to combat who you chose.....guys actually wait to see who you get then chose.

if i use my custom guy, they dont know how to come at me. they have to rely on their skills. which most dont have. i have won 9 fights in a row now.

a match between two guys and their skills not based on their boxers. does Benard change into Holyfield to fight a certain guy? it should not matter.

Maxing out your boxer within the limitation of your weight class gives you an unfair advantage..I doubt the real fighters have maxed out stats within your fighters weight class..

all the real fighters have some advantage of them. some have 100 stamina and heart, others speed, others power etc..

again the created fighters do not have ALL maxed out stats for their weight class. you put in a boxers height, weight etc and then his stats are generated. i have a CAB with low power, speed, and agility...his highest stats are in cuts and heart which arent even the max for him at his class..

i have a certain style that i like and no fighter has that mix of style in the game. so i have to use a CAB.

I think that is cheating. Why would I fight a guy who i have no idea what his skills are. Height, handedness, and style. And possible exagerrated atributes. I'd pass up that fight.

LOL..the only way you know the real fighters attributes is if you studied them offline in the player select screen.

thats what makes the match interesting...you dont know your oppenent and you get to figure it out. i think if you got skills, then you got skills...otherwise its a scapegoat.

I would like to use my career figter but hes washed up..& in a grueling fight, one knockdown usually ends the fight for him..

I disagree. I NEVER play with the heavyweights, but I'm pretty sure Frazier hits the hardest, RJJ is fast, but has a week chin, Holyfield hits hard and has a hell of a heart, etc etc. I see what you're getting at though.

The reason why I won't fight CABs online and always turn them off when matchmaking is that they are "too" much of an unknown commodity. You have no idea whether your opponent just wants to take his reasonable career mode fighter online or if someone has made a 6'0" welterweight with maxed out stats and the most stat boosting gloves, trunks, mouthguard, etc.... Remember, for every 1 person who might want to just play with "their style" there are 10 more people who are just looking to make the most unbeatable, overpowered fighter out there. Don't believe me, just look at this thread here. And if turning off CABs means I miss fighting those 10 people but also you Complex...well, that is a sacrifice I and many others are willing to make.
