    Call me crazy, BUT....

i think that fight night 2004 is the BEST of ALL the fight night's that have come out so far in terms of gameplay...
i like the fact that i can get split decisions and draws in the game. the drama involved in the fight...the different styles of boxing...the fact that the ai boxer, when in trouble, will retreat...the fact that i can cut-off the ring and get the ai on the ropes...the top 50 rankings system...NO HAYMAKERS!!!! only "real" punches that can cause pretty realistic damage..the parrying system for the ai is not overdone. whenever i get parried, i don't go DEFENSELESS for what seems an eternity...realistic number of punches thrown per round (around 60-70) each fight (which i guess ultimately depends on how you fight as well, but the ai shows consistency with this)...having the ai actually defend body punches unlike fight night round 3 on the 360..i can't abuse the use of the body punch because usually the computer will counter with a hook or uppercut before i can even let off one punch or block and counter.
Presentation wise, i think it is pretty good...i like the announcement of the winner of each match at the end...needs a bit more drama, but i think it is better than any other fight night..WITHOUT big tigger, i believe the intros are well done with the introduction of the fighters in each corner and the NOT SO OVERDONE entrances in the ring (i.e. in fight night round 3 you sometimes had marco antonio barrera slappin' that invisible a** as he walked into the ring, etc.) but overall, in fight night 2004, the way they do the introductions in the ring with the entourage in each corner (OF COURSE WITHOUT TIGGER) would be exactly what i want! and another cool thing that i voluntarily do is turn off the announcing throughout the fight and highlights and turn it back on after the fight is over just before the announcing of the results so that when i get the results there is a bit more drama instead of hearing throughout the fight the "supposed" winner of each round.
overall, i just like the fact that in fight night i feel like i am playing for something, a world title shot...the top 50 ranking, varied boxing styles, ai reacts to how you fight, retreats when need be or head hunts when the timing is right, presentation (without tigger), and the fact that i can go to a draw, split decision, or unanimous decision, and NO HAYMAKERS, makes this game for me a much better choice than any other fight night...
    just my .02...
also, if anyone knows where i could get some fight night 2004 cabs..that would great...later fellas..

I think this years game play is top notch....everything else i can do without.

Kudo needs to hire a boxing fan to help with the rest of the game.

I still find the Ai too predictiable. Even on hard, no matter the matchup, providing it is the same weight class, I can easily dominate and win every round hands down, there is no challenge whatsoever for me.

Which is why i wish 2k would make a game.
