    FN3 Career Mode Question

Is there a way for me to fight my Career Mode fights on the right hand side of the screen versus the left?

All of the exhibition fights that I fought I chose the Red Corner, and got used to fighting, seeing the punches, and moving around the ring with my fighter on the right hand side. Now I start my Career, and the fighter is on the left, and I am not adjusting very well. Can I switch it somehow?

    I don't think so.

It's been a while since I played the game, but why not just move around the ring so you're facing the boxer from the opposite side? You start at the left, but move around until you're on the right.

The game won't let you. If you start on the right, the other boxer will always cut you off and not let you switch positions to the left.

With the default camera angle, it doesn't matter where you move in the ring; the view remains you on the left.

There are other camera angles to choose from, though, in the options menu. If you choose something like "swing," then you will be able to move from the left side to the right side as you fight. There are a few other options as well, where you can do the same thing. I messed around with them, but found I do like the default camera the best because it's closer to the action than the other angles. I'm better on the left side of the screen, but if you just play enough, you can get used to being on both sides.

Now see, I never thought of messing with the cameras..... Thanks for the info. I will try the swing camera, and see if I can get myself turned around. I suppose I should just try to get used to it so I can fight from either side. Right now, i am so early in my career that I am doing okay, but once I start getting into it with the better fighters, I am probably going to get smacked around.

thanks again, I'll try the cameras tonight.

Hmm, maybe I changed the camera. It's been so long since I've played that I can't recall.

I find career to be very easy I don't need to fight on any side to get a advantage but good luck.

I tried the Swing camera last night, and you can indeed get over to the side you want, so thanks to born_bad for the good advice. Yeah Prodigy, I am
8-0 in my career, and that is playing on the hard level. Seems very easy, and when you go back to fighting against the real guys in the fight Now fights, it is tough to get back to dodging and weaving.... You can get away with being lazy early in the Career Mode, with the real fighters, not so much.

                  Re: FN3 Career Mode Question

I just brought this issue up in some other forums. Swing was sugessted, but at many of the venues it is too far away and at a strange angle. It makes depth perception tough and measuring the punching distance very hard for my old eyes to gauge LOL!

Top Spin 2 has a view called zoom that keeps you view that same regardless of which side the player is on. I just hope EA looks into adding more flexible views.

I know it's too easy. So far I completed one career and one is about to be finished now and another is on it's way and so far I only lost once and came close to losing about five(really bad cuts). So it worked great for you?

                      Re: FN3 Career Mode Question

I did not realize how great this game is online. One of the guys at work rented the game, and we battled it out last night. I set the camera option in the set up to the swing camera, and half the battle is trying to get into the position you like the best for duking it out.

We fought Gatti and Ward, 10 rounder, and I LOVE how the game is so much more than stand and punch when to guys have about equal skill levels (the guys playing, not the fighters). The fight was finally stopped in the 9th when Ward (me) opened up a nasty cut over Gatti's eye that he just could not get closed between rounds. The funniest part is that my buddy is not so adept at swinging that R-stick back and forth to work on the cuts/swelling, so after each round started, the announcer is talking about how Gatti needs to hire a new cutman, because the guy working on him was worthless. The fight gets called, Ward wins, and the scorecard has all three judges scoring the fight 55-55 through 9 rounds.

This game is good anyways, but online, is just awesome.

That was the best match up for sure. The most exciting was Ali (him) versus Frazier (me). Ali's footwork is ridiculous. Punch and move, punch and move... He tore me apart for 7 rounds and was ahead on all three scorecards, when frazier hit him with 3 consecutive left hook bombs. I do like how the Haymaker has been toned down to the point where you see it coming about a mile away. He insisted on trying to throw right hands at my swollen left eye, so i would just parry, and throw the bombs at him. I had him stuck in the corner, and swatted him with a flash knockdown left. He was kind of stuck in the corner triangle of the ropes, and with me in front of him he had no where to fall. I hit him with 3 uppercuts as he was "out" and then unloaded the three haymaker lefts at him. He finally twisted and tumbled in between the ropes and fell all hunched over on himself. I was so far behind in the fight, that my buddy was pi$$ed that he could not get Ali up.

Great fight, but the welter/light weights are much more fun than the slugfests you get with the Heavyweights. Hatton (him) tore up DeLa Hoya (me) something terrible in a 4 round mis-match. Oscar's chin could not stand up to the vicious beat down that Hatton laid on me, and I got beaten like I stole something.

Awesome game, and again, a GREAT online experience if you do not get hooked up with cheesers.

Mine was acually in career mode my first career mode my fighter(stevie lights) was undeafeted(30-0-0 30ko's) was going into a fight at arogon ballroom (I think I had that burger king guys or just the regular black guy) . I was really cocky that I was winning fights all the time and knockingout everyone out. It started with me beating him up(throwing more pucnhes) but my health was going down more than his(either low chin rating or he had alot of power) so I changed to fighting defense but that made it worse he attacked me more and tore me up(got a huge cut and swollen eye for first time) I went down after awile(first time for that too,got up at 8). I got up mad and start countering his punches hit him with three hits and start pounding him(he got a massive cut) after a round or two of me pressing the attack he went down. Later we were both scared to punch(with him having a huge cut and me having a huge cut and have been knocked down) I was the first to strike we exchanged blows for about two rounds then I took the advantage I countered his punch and hit him with my signature punch(joe fraziers) he was aout to get knocked out when all of a sudden he start attacking me and I went in the ko moment I blcoked and and ducked his punches the best I could then grabed him we then did the same proccess again. I then start hitting him in his cut and he went down after my signauture punch to the body he didn't get up . I took my fights more serious after that.

well I haven't read this entire post, and i'm sure someone said it, but you can change the few. There is a view that allows u to fight on different sides of the screen because u move around.
fool me once... shame on me.
