Cotto UD. I caught the tail end of it. The commentators were talking like it was a great fight. Probably better than Hopkins=Tarver.

Cotto won his fight, but IMO barely. There were a lot of rounds that could have went either way. Paulie just doesnt have the power to contend as a champion. He was the better boxer, but just no power. He was cut within the first 40 secs of the 1st round.

But JCC jr was great this boy will be a problem as his goes through his career.

Kevin Kelly was embarrased by B.Pacquio (sp). He needs to retire.

And the kid from Norte Dame rocked his opponent. He hit the guy so hard, his body turned almost completely around.

what bothers me about Cotto is that he said once he beats Malignaggi he can go back to anonimity (or back to the unknown ranks). my question is, if he beat and unknown, what does that do or say about Cotto?

Cotto clearly won his fight. Not sure what fight you were watching. It wasn't pretty, but he got the job done. Especially since Maglinari did nothing but hold most of the night. I believe that had Cotto frustrated. Even with that Cotto was the aggressor all night. Maglinari won 1-2 rounds of the fight. If that...

As for an unknown... You fight who your camp get's you to fight. Is it Cotto's fault there's no-one in his weight class? His team is being smart about it. He fought the best fighter in his division(chop-chop Corley) & beat him. We all know his next step is moving to 147(welterweight), I believe he will make that move, but he doesn't have to do it now. He's still young...

yeah paulie was cut and swollen, but that doesnt mean much. remember Lewis vs Klit? We ALL knew Lewis was getting killed in there, but Klits face looked horrible. some guys are bleeders.

Paulie slipped a lot of good shots on Cotto, there just wasnt anything on them. Paulie needs to learn to sit on his punches, and really stick them. he is young and will definately improve. he was superiour to Cotto in forms of boxing skill.

The Chop Chop fight was a gift from the ref, he was clearly losing that fight. name a fight called on a knee? esp after he just rocked his opponent senseless just a few minutes earlier.

No one in Cottos class? what? He turned down Hatton and PBF already, and admitted he wasnt ready. he could fight D.Hop, a fighter i promise you he will not fight. Paul Williams at 30-0, Vivian Harris. Cotto doesnt have an exscuse to get fights. His handlers dont want him expose, he is the Puerto Rican golden goose right now. A loss, esp a bad one, will prove what most of us know already.

I like Cotto but Paul Williams would kill him. He needs to keep fighting guys he knows he can beat.

if you notice i this .gif...the second time paulie went down, right before he catches Cotto with a good shot. he just has no power on it. he slipped quite a few of these punches on Cotto.
