Re: Rahman vs. Maskaev II
Pretty silly that we got Jermaine Taylor and Winky on HBO and this is PPV. Someone must think that the Heavyweight division is still a marquee draw and that they can sell it based on the fact that Rahman got knocked through the ropes last time. -
Re: Rahman vs. Maskaev II
It has to do more with the promoter than anything else. I would have bought it if the undercard was better. I am shocked that was the best Arum could come up with. It is brutal. The fight itself should not be boring as long as Rahman does not go back to his shell style that he has employed a few times. Oleg always lets his hands go and even to a detriment.Comment

Re: Rahman vs. Maskaev II
Wow im shocked with this outcome.
Rahman was on his way up in the heavyweight division, and yet again blows it all. Looks like Maskaev has the rock's number.Comment

It's incredible how much history repeats itself in the fight game. NEVER look past your opponent.Last edited by Money99; 08-14-2006, 12:42 PM.Comment

Yeah, it will be before the live telecast.
I am in the minority, but Oleg is actually a lot more talented than Rahman and his career was supposed to be better. Oleg is one of the Top 5 horribly handled/managed heavyweights of all-time. His first fight was against an undefeated contender who beat Lennox in the amateurs, fought McCall way early, Tua, etc..... His route was just awful and even though he was a dominant amateur champion, they rushed him.
The offer is open for Oleg to fight Wlad. I think he will duck Wlad. Just my opinion.Comment
