He really hasnt done anything to impress me either. He is simply winning because Ouma is just physically overmatched. Taylor throws a lot of wild power punches and holds a lot. Just a sloppy fighter.

Taylor is so strong and athletic that it masks his lack of technique. But he has beaten the "boxers" Hopkins and Wright. He just does what ne needs to do to win

No, he's beaten Hopkins. The Wright fight was a draw.

Well the record sure shows beaten, but in my opinion there's no way he should have won the first hopkins fight, and winky got robbed to hell in their fight.

Taylor, whether you like it or not, fought a masterful fight. Ouma has broken many punch stat records and the key to dominating him is to not let him get off. So Taylor dictated the pace from the outside and when Kassim got in close, he smothered him and made Ouma totally ineffective. He is not a fraud and that is a ridiculous statement.

Boxing is about matchups and you do whatever is possible to highlight your strengths and negate your opponents strengths.

Taylor is my favorite boxer, he did do some holding but he also did give it to Ouma. Ouma just has a great beard no doubt.

Exactly, people are clueless. Not only does Ouma have a great beard, but he has talent and is EXTREMELY awkward. Yet, Taylor won with ease.

Though, I will say I think Taylor needs to avoid Calzaghe. Not a good matchup at this point in his career.

I completely agree with you. Taylor didn't legitimately beat Hopkins in either fight. And Winky simply didn't land enough power shots to win on the score cards. Both fighters clearly controlled their fights against Taylor, which SHOULD have had an effect on scoring.

How do you legitimetly beat someone? He won on cards in both fights right? I watched both fights and thought he clearly won the second fight and the first one could of gone either way. Shoot if you watch the first fight its clear that Hopkins didnt start fighting until the six round and only clearly won the last 4 rounds of the fight. If you gave Hopkins all 6 the fight is a draw.

Legitimately beating someone is winning by a margin wide enough to eliminate any controversy. Hopkins didn't really start fighting until about the 7th or 8th round of the first fight, but Taylor didn't have any control of the fight and couldn't land anything clean. I felt Hopkins was clearly in control of the fight throughtout.

In the second fight, Hopkins employed the exact same strategy. Taylor was able to land more clean shots in this fight, but Hopkins was never in any real danger.

I've seen it many times where a puncher gets credit simply for throwing rather than actually landing punches. To me, Taylor got the benefit of the doubt in these fights.

taylor was by no means masterful.....he held and held and held, thats why he was able to keep ouma from getting off. THere are other ways to tame a an aggressive fighter, such as punching him on the counter, which taylor did a little bit, but his main "masterful technique" is the clutch and grab ....that's being a fraud.....
