Attempting to make FNR3 a sim game HvsC...

This is what I'm thinking about doing (non-created boxers):

1 mintue rounds = so fights go later into the championship rounds; less time to knockdown/out computer
saved by the bell any round = same as above, harder to win by knockout; unfortunately this is not 'sim' logic
hardest level = cpu is still easy to pick apart by working the jab, boxing and not slugging

anyone with any other tips? i'm sick of beating the computer by knockout before the 6th round even in the featherweight class

has anyone ever stopped the computer by TKO (cuts?)
has anyone ever went long enough to have the fight determined by decision?

    just wondering..thx (i'm playing it on ps3)

I play it on the 360 and I've gone to the cards several times but keep in mind I just play exhibition matches on Hard with the in game boxers and people I've created. The key for me is that I fight like the boxers do in real life. If I'm using Hatton I keep coming forward and throw a ton of hooks and uppercuts. With Wright, I counter punch and use the jab alot.

I'm not sure a 1 minute round would allow the possibility to win via TKO (cuts). I think 1 minute rounds might work for less KOs. It's not a bad idea. Maybe 2 min rounds?

What I noticed most about the game is the insane amount of hits that connect, but at the same time, they aren't properly represented in reference to boxing. If I counter a guy with a hook, he's going to be stunned, not have the ability to return two quick hooks. That's just dumb.

But, I do agree that a lower timed round would avoid some of that.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

It might be obvious to say, but play it like more of a sim!

I pretty much only play online and most people I play don't play anything like a sim. They run to the center of the ring and let the combos fly for the whole round. Try throwing a lot less punches and that will help make the matches last longer.

I try to spend a decent amount of time playing defense, moving around the ring, etc., not just throwing punches the whole time.
