Though he will always be grossly underrated in my book, 10 years is a long damn time. His chin was always his weakest point and now he will be easier to hit with older legs.

Tommy Morrison was one of my favorite fighters growing up, I always like him. I hope he wins...

Don't know who he is but darn, I'd hate to get hit by him, let alone stand in a ring. He's HIV+?? That should be interesting. So if he starts bleeding.......??

Morrison says that that he isn't actually HIV positive and the test saying he was, was a false-positive. Most people don't believe him though and on PTI today Wilbon and Kornheiser were talking about him getting a license in West Virginia because it was one of the only states that would give him a license to fight.

Didn't he have 1 fight after he tested positive? Just checked www.boxrec.com and it appears he had a non-sanctioned fight in 1996. I'm pretty sure he had already tested positive at that time.

I'm amazed that it was a false negative on his HIV test. I remember reading lots of stories about how Morrison got dangerously depressed after testing positive. I can't imagine going this long thinking you have it when you don't.

I am a huge fan of Tommy The Duke Morrison....Also to be 38 and in that kind of shape is nuts and another thing people may say he is old to attempt a comeback but, think about...He is a young 38 considering he hasn't taken all those hits that older boxers have no an days...He left boxing 11 years ago...so that would make him around 27.I hope he comes back in a big way because he can help the heavy weight division.

He doesn't have it though... he said it many times over on the Dan Patrick radio show... now is it true? Who knows, but he claims it was a false positive from steroids and he's clean.

Why doesn't he just take a test then? Going to one of the only (or is it only) states that doesn't require a blood test doesn't encourage the idea he is "clean".

He has taken at least 5 tests and they have come up as negative. Why he went to WV is because the other states won't disregard the initial positive test.

There is no doubt that Morrison was juiced out of his mind when he failed the test, so the steroids (and a combination of a ton of other stuff) messing up with his blood work is an interesting theory. If it is true, it would also be true that it would take years to flush his system of the crap he was taking.

Regardless, his nasty left hook bailed him out again last night.
