I thought I'd post the link. Talk about having no respect for those that have paved the way for him to receive those huge fight purses. Floyd's an ***.

Interesting read, but I do agree he would beat leonard but not as soundly as he thinks.

No, just classless. But if what was in the article is a true depiction of the turmoil and calamity in his family....he had no chance to develop class and character. He'll always struggle to feel good enough about who he is and what he's accomplished.

I feel sorry for him... He defines himself by his success in the ring. So when he's not boxing, he's not relevant... All the hangers-on and cheerleaders wil be gone. No matter how much money and possessions he has, he's still going to be miserable.

Please explain how? Sugar Ray was great, but this kid Floyd is a problem. He has excellent tools and a great training routine. He talks a good game but trains like the end of the world is near. As long as he does that, he will be aight.

Newsflash-Sugar Ray trained too. Ray had a devastating combination of power and speed, and unlike Oscar would have caught Floyd and BATTERED him. Ray had more punch and heart than Punk Boy Floyd could ever dream about. Floyd would have ducked Thomas Hearns.

I doubt that. Mayweather couldn't beat Hearns or Hagler IMO. Fighters of that era had great stamina. Duran beat Sugar Ray by decision in June, only to lose to Sugar Ray 5 months later. They fought so frequently. It was common to see records like "56-3" back then. There was no "ducking" going on back then. To be the best, you had to beat the best; Hagler vs Hearns, Hearns vs Duran, Leonard vs Hearns, Leonard vs Hagler, Benitez vs Leonard, and so on. Let's not forget that these fights were scheduled for 12-15 rounds. I sure would like to see how Mayweather Jr. would've handled being in the 14th round with Sugar Ray.

This out of respect for Floyd but Duran and Hearns would beat him. Sugar was so special as a fighter. The ultimate boxer/puncher and at 147/154 Floyd couldn't match Ray power or speed.

Floyd came at a very weak time in boxing but Sugar would have dusted him and made it look look easy.

I have to agree. Leonard is one of the best of all-time. Floyd is just one of the best right now.

i couldnt stand leonard but he is one of the best ever. and seemingly having all the judges in his pocket didnt hurt...floyd is soooo talented and works hard but he is a jerk. i cant wait for the day he gets humbled.
i wish leonard and floyd could fight eachother and have hagler come in and knock em both out before the opening bell

Floyd seems to be saying these things to make him seem more gangster-like...to get that shock reaction from those who listen. Floyd has similiarities to "Sugar" he needs to just keep quiet if he can't say anything humble. I can see if Sugar Ray disrespected him in so type of way.

The only difference between Floyd and Ray is that Ray had a Hearns, Hagler, and Duran. Floyd does not have those guys in his era, he beat every notable fighter of his time soundly. DLH is the closest anyone ever came and lets not forget he moved up to take this fight. Who has Floyd ducked that is worthy of note? Margarito? who had trouble with a one haded Clottey? Hatton? who cheated Collazo out of a win?

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Ray, but we are talking about a fighter who is lightning fast and extremely talented. Tell me one fight where Floyd looked fatigued? Who has put Floyd on his back? He has embarrased 95% of the fighters put in front of him. What am I missing?
