NEW 2K BOXING GAME CALLED "RING KING"
Starring Don King. I can't believe they paid so much to have the man that ruined boxing in the game. Im still hyped as hell though. I love boxing, and i love videogame boxing even more. I wish i could play victorious boxers 2. Anyways heres the link.

Re: NEW 2K BOXING GAME CALLED "RING KING"
I think I had a record of 67-1 and one time. But I hated how your sparring sessions counted against your record.
In reality, my 'ranked' record was closer to 33-0. I was awesome. Actually, I still am.Comment

Re: NEW 2K BOXING GAME CALLED "RING KING"
I love the fact that Venom is doing it, but if true, paying $1 million to Don King is ridiculous unless that somehow financially ties all his fighters. Because with $1 million, I could get on the phone and get an amazing roster and not just a mascot.Comment

In all honesty, that game is still one of the deepest boxing games for any console ever made. I loved it!

Hey its old, but you guys were going nuts about "just" hearing that 2k is making a boxing game. That article only had one line about Pavlik signing with 2k then it got erased. This article (which i didn't see posted) reveals alot more information."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

I'd much rather they spent the money on Emanual Steward or any other famed manager. I'm very interested in the managerial aspect of the sport; finding fighters, developing them, losing them, keeping a stable together, etc. That would be cool.Comment

I wonder how much involvement Don King will have in the game now. It sounded like they really wanted to explore a story mode with it.

Agreed. What is so infuriating is these companies act like it is so hard to make a good boxing game.
There are a ton of quality boxers out there that would love for their likeness to be in a game for as little as $5,000.
And just add a bunch of generic fighters that you can build up and progress through a career, and you are golden.
This should not be difficult. In fact, it should be rather easy.
Way too much attention is put to mo-cap and graphics.
I don't need these boxers to put on black suits with white balls on them to make it realistic. I could take the same model of a boxer, make a few tweaks, and easily create a Lewis, Ali, Holmes, and the Klitschkos.Comment

I mean the rankings were so deep.
I used to love the uppercuts over the top rope! LOL
There was this one dude with a big, white afro and I think purple trunks that I could never beat.
But I used to love the game to death.Comment

Re: NEW 2K BOXING GAME CALLED "RING KING"
I have VB2 at home and while I haven't been able to give the career mode the proper time, I'll still rumble with some exhibition bouts.
Great game.
It's amazing to me that games that are over 10 years old still kick the next-gen's ***.
