I am excited, but showing Ken Norton is your first 10 screenshots has curbed any enthusiasm I have for the roster.

Re: First Prizefighter Screenshots! (10 Of Em)
I'm not worried about the roster yet because I had low expectations for it. Getting Wladimir, Vitali or PBF costs a ton of money so I wasnt expecting 2k to sign them. I'd rather this game have 30-50 good to mid-level fighters and a great CAB than no depth with 10 A level fighters. As long as I can accurately create the Klitchkos, PBF and all of the exclusive EA fighters (Taylor, Wright etc) I'll be happy.Comment

A feature that I think would be nice is if they allow you to have a DEEP create a fighter mode, but then allow you to also add multiple fighters into the pool of your career, so you not just fight WITH your created fighters but eventually AGAINST them on your road to the title...
I can't wait to see the feature list they plan to have for this title!Comment

If they have flash KO's, plenty of decisions vs. just every fight ending in KO, a large pool of boxers(even if fictional) in a ranking system, and relatively decent AI, I will be in heaven.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Right and hopefully they have a good name database. I'd hate to create a good Taylor and have to use some cheezy nickname like "thunder foot" or "the assassin" ala EA Fight Night. Nothing was worse than having two of the same cheezy nicknames fighting eachother. "The Assassin punches the assassin, the assassin is hurt, the assassin will go down if he's not careful"......What, which assassin.

I never understood why EA never just used a name voice database instead that stupid nickname database. With that said, I havent even heard any news about announcers for this title so who knows if there will even be any.Comment

Re: First Prizefighter Screenshots! (10 Of Em)
I like others love the wide angle shot of the ring because it just screams 'boxing!'. But I cannot and will not get hopes up from a gameplay point of view because of the rocky games. The left hooks in that game looked like they had the effort of a drugged out 90 yr old punching underwater.
I want HARD punches, with varying accuracy and pin-point hit detection. I like the scrreens, but need video before I'll let myself fall in love with it.
...I wonder if we'll be seeing FN screens soonLiquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I want varying punches. Floyd's jab isnt like Ali's jab. So if the guy in the photo is throwing a hook thats ok for someone early in the ranks fo the game. BUt as I move up, I would expent top 10 fighters to have more crisp and accurate styles.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment

Also, Pastapadre yanked the screens as apparently 2K Sports didn't officially release 'em for the public. Nonetheless, these screens look a lot better than I was expecting. My excitement for this one just got a boost. Not sure how much I like the Don King angle though. We'll see...Comment

EA Sports Chicago went under, so it doesn't look like there's going to be another Fight Night--- at least not any time soon.

I'm sure the closing of the studio slowed it down, but it wouldn't prevent the next game from comming out as the development team (mostly) has retained their jobs w/in EA sports, and the FN responsibility will simply be moved to another studio.
From what I understand it wasn't about lay-off's, but more of a centralization issue to make sure their dev. efforts would be more focused and guided by a 'central' than having too many satelite dev. houses making games w/ corporate executives having a hard time getting a beat on what's going on in all these (smaller) offices - there were other closures too.
I may be slightly off-base, but for the most part you can definitely expect a FN in '08 at least.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: First Prizefighter Screenshots! (10 Of Em)
My bad. I'll probably pick up Fight Night also if it comes out. I just hope it's got a better create-a-fighter/career mode. I hope Kudo's not in charge anymore though. I met him a couple years ago and he's an a-hole, and I don't think he knows what he's doing.Comment
