I am really holding out hope. I really am. But Don King + the Rocky development team worries me.

I love when people call a sport nearly dead. In 2007, Boxing generated more revenue then it has in the history of the sport. Its far from dead.

As for the corrupt judges its just a part of story mode. Its not like you will play an exhibition or online and have to deal with it. Plus people on this site scream for realism and 2k is giving it to you. Corrupt judges are part of the sport.

corrupt judges could be few and far between, but in the game it would be nice to see controvesial decisions, and in close fights one judge sees the fight completely different than the other.

Wonder how much the analog sticks will factor into the gameplay?

I agree. It would add depth to the game, instead of going through fight after fight with the same old. Imagine how neat it would be if you face off against a guy 10 rounds and he gets the decision (possible corruption). It would only make the next time you fight him more exciting.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I didn't say it was "dead," I said it was "nearly dead" and if you don't believe that then you are fooling yourself. Yes the revenue is there because nearly every major boxing event is on payperview and the only way to watch it is to pay for it. This has crippled the industry in trying to garner a younger crowd. Some on here may be young and still boxing fans but that isn't the case for most of America. This is why boxing doesn't get anywhere near the coverage as it used to. Most people can't name 5 of the top boxers in any class. This is because they have made it almost impossible to introduce the sport to a younger age group so that they will continue to support the sport and have too pricey of payperview matches. Throw in the fact that there are too many blantant corrupt judges and what do you have? A sport that only true die hards care about anymore.

Boxing is not anywhere near the way it used to be and you can't go by sheer revenue to determine anything these days. I like boxing, have never been a fan of UFC or mixed martial arts contests, so don't think I am saying all of this in the "UFC is better than boxing" manner. Just speaking from what I see and what I hear being talked about.

The sport of boxing needs to be rejuvenated BIG TIME. They need to do something to promote the boxers that are there, find a way to be less corrupt with judges and stop making most major events only accessible on payperview.
