    Prizefighter Site is Up!

    http://2ksports.com/prizefighter/

    Things I'm excited about:

22 arenas including the Garden, Boardwalk Hall and the Trump Taj Mahal. That's crazy. Whats the most FN ever had? 5?

Boxer adreneline and the crowd factor into your shots. Also there seems to be an emphasis on angles and footwork.

The big negative is it looks like you can only fight as a heavyweight in career mode.

Along the way you can visit classic fights to learn about the sweet science by competing as one of the 10 champions in five legendary fights from the past 80 years. Play your cards right and your career will take you from Atlantic City to the Bright Lights of Vegas and ultimately to the Heavyweight Champion of the world.

I'm not sure that this is a career mode. The 10 champs they are talking about are more than likely the classic fighters-Archie Moore, Joe Louis, Braddock, Marciano, Max Baer, Nigel Benn, Ken Norton, Chris Eubank, Floyd Patterson, and Larry Holmes. Obviously Benn and Eubank are the only non heavies, but who knows how the are going to do it?

For whatever reason, it looks like you will only be able to fight as a heavyweight in career mode.

I don't think so. I think they posted this because heavyweight is the de facto division for outsiders. There's nothing more prestigious in the history of boxing than the heavyweight championship. So I think they used this term, but don't think they would overlook such a simple career option.

I agree it's a pretty huge oversight. Nonetheless, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I think they are talking about a "Classic Fight Mode", not a career mode unless it's at the exclusion of a career mode. The key terms are 10 champions and five legendary fights. You'd have to have 10 fighters to make up 5 fights, right? The indication is that these fights actually happened.

On another note what about the unlocking of 7 signature punches? I hope this is just for created boxers.

the site says golotta is a current champ...??? How is this possible...he's lost every fight i've seen of his on television except for one which was against a bum.

imo, a wonderful selection of middleweights - The good thing is the list of fighters to me is waaaaaaaaay better than fnr3's.
I can't wait to kick arthur abraham's ash with calzaghe or pavlik

very decent classic's, and not too many so that it dominates the game.

To me it's a waste to have featherweight, i don't give a crap about any division below lightweight, and i mostly don't care about that division as well. They're just too small. Anything below 140 pounds and i will not care 90% of the time...most hot chicks are around 130 pound area...anyway just had to get that said since there's no lightheavy division which i'd swap featherweight for anyday.

Golota is the current IBF North American Heavyweight Champion and WBA Fedelatin Heavyweight Champion whatever the f##k that means. I liked Danny Red Lopez in the early 80's but for the most part I'm not a huge fan of the below lightweight divisions either. My preferred starting point is actually 140 pounds (super light/junior welter). That's just me............and allBthere.
