Haye lays down smack on Klitschko on street

Some good street smack between David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko:

Not sure if it was staged or not, but it looks fairly authentic.

    Take care,

I LOVE IT!!! It would be an interesting fight, but overall I think Klitschko will make it boring and will win on points.

Klitschko is a bit soft. Haye chumped him big time. Let that have been Mike Tyson in his day. The fight would have been over before it started. But, Haye would know better than to man up with Mike!!

I like Haye, but he has had his chin checked by light hitting cruisers. He would get split in half by Wlad. Bad matchup for him.

          I think so too.

Wlad's right anyway. Haye has to prove himself first. Let him fight a top 10 guy and then we'll see. For all we know, Haye might get destroyed by any or all of the USSR fighters out there.

Yeah, what bothers me the most is in all of his interviews he keeps bringing up Evander Holyfield. It is almost an insult. I like Haye, but that is a joke.

Evander accomplished WAY MORE than Haye did at Cruiser and then beat on some Top 10 heavies before he cracked Buster.

I really, really like Haye. But as I have seen many times watching Lennox, Wlad, and Vitali (putting them together because of their skill set), these guys will talk endless noise and then when they get in the ring they get owned because you can't find a sparring partner like them. Haye has no idea how fast Wlad's hands and how much heat he brings with his punches.

If I was Haye, I would take the Rahman and Briggs route and then demand a fight from Wlad. I would avoid the amateur pedigree guys (ie the Russkies and a few others). There is a reason he lost in the Olympics to Solis, who is burning through heavies right now.

Though hearing Wlad telling Haye to "behave himself" at the end was sheer classic.

Excellent post. I was actually thinking of Rahman and Briggs (along with Toney) as guys Haye should fight first to prove himself.

Haye should consider himself lucky that Wlad wants nothing to do with him right now. If they were to fight tomorrow, Haye would be a bloody mess.
And this is also coming from a Haye fan.

But I don't blame Haye for doing this. If he's going to take heavyweight punches it might as well come from the champ for millions of dollars. Why work for something when you can get the lottery ticket sooner? Lots of heavies have done that in the past.

If anything, I think a Haye-Vitali fight would be very intrigueing. Vitali's older and past his prime. If Haye looks good against him, then I could see a Wlad showdown.

Dollars make sense and Haye is taking the Roy Jones approach. Jump to heavy weight for a title fight. Skip everyone in line and go str8 to the top. With antics like the vid he can do it!! All he has to do is keep on talking and showing his face during klitschko's appearances. The money and fight will come.

Yeah but I think Haye is a slightly bigger man than Roy and he may wear his weight better at Heavyweight than Roy did. Yes Roy outpointed John Ruiz for 12 rounds, but Roy never showed that the knockout power came up with him. And when he came back down to Light Heavy, he was challenged in the decision in the first Tarver fight. So the question is will Haye try and actually end his career at Heavyweight? Will he be content with just beating Wlad and then retire or will he actually try to unify? I mean unless it's a jabbing contest, which it may be for part of the fight but not for all of it, (You gotta think Wlad will jab more than Haye) then the judges may give the edge to Wlad. So you gotta think Haye will try to land power shots on Wlad. He'll probably have to counter punch Wlad because you don't wanna run into a Wlad jab or straight.

Hopefully Haye will try to make the fight exciting.

Buster laid down in that fight, and had little or no intention of challenging Holyfield. He came in fat and happy-an almost $30 million payday helped.
Evander definitely had a more successful career at cruiserweight. He will be regarded as the #1 cruiserweight of all time, but keep in mind that he fought at 190 while Haye fought at the 2003 weight change of 200 pounds. Holyfield had to beef up like Spinks when going up-I think Hayes transition will be more natural.

Hay could be Wlad but he would have to catch him early. Once Wlad get comfortable he is almost unbeatable. The only chance I give Haye is his hand speed, that is why Wlad lost to Corey Sanders. Heck, Sanders only had one punch (straight left) and boy did he get the best out of that punch.

Unfortunatley, the thing that makes Holyfield great is the same thing that will lead to his physical and mental demise, his heart and stubborness. He needs to hurry up and fight someone like Wlad so they can crush his pipe dreams. Holyfield will be our generation's version of Joe Frazier (he will need a translator).
